Knowing When You Become Hypersensitive❗️
I've been working hard on updating my articles every day lately!
I am an HSP, but I spend my days happily.
This time, based on my own experience, I thought about when I become hypersensitive.
◆Let's learn when you become hypersensitive!
First of all, I don't think that even as an HSP, you are always hypersensitive.
Because you have high sensitivity, you can spend your time stably when you are feeling positive emotions!
This is the point❗️
Well, this applies to everyone, but by firmly being aware of such obvious things and incorporating them into your life, the difficulties of living as an HSP will change.
When you are tired or under some kind of stress, your senses become hypersensitive!
Whether you are an HSP or not, that's how everyone is, right?
Yes! That's how people are.
However, because an HSP has a high sensitivity to that hypersensitivity,
you might worry about trivial things, perceive more information than necessary,
or show kindness by thinking 'this much is fine,'
so there end up being more things that become stressors than for other people.
HSPs don't realize themselves that they are carrying stress without knowing it!
When stress builds up, you start to become more bothered than usual by the volume of people's voices, the quality of their voices, and how they speak. Regarding surrounding sounds and environmental factors, your body feels tension, and you feel very tired for some reason.
Yes, this! This is a sign that you have started to feel stress❗️Please notice it!
For a normal person, it's just a feeling of being a little tired, but
for an HSP, this timing is important! You might think, 'Just for that?', but
because your capacity to absorb stress fills up quickly,
if you don't reset here, it will be fatal...
・If you start feeling more hypersensitive than usual, take care immediately❗️
・If you feel like you might be tired, take care immediately❗️
・Let's turn the attention that is directed outward toward your own reactions❗️
◆Let's learn your own reactions when you are hypersensitive!
When you are under stress, you become hypersensitive and start to feel more unpleasant sensations and feelings of tension. Don't you feel irritable, restless, and have a feeling similar to impatience, even though you aren't rushing to do anything?
Yes!You are running out of room!
If you feel like you are a little irritable? Restless and something is wrong?
Do you feel like you don't have any leeway? Huh? Is it different from usual? If you feel that way,
stop andobserve yourself❗️
Because you are an HSP, you can also feel sensitive about yourself.
Turn your attention, which is sensitive, away from the outside and toward your internal state,
please change your direction.
When you notice your own signs, you will realize that stress is accumulating!
Let's heal yourself❗️ The direction turns toward adjustment. Then,
just by imagining the joy of healing, such as 'what should I heal with,' or 'what should I choose from my healing repertoire,'...you can experience the good feeling of that moment just by imagining it, and that alone will lift your mood.
Yes, here! This timing is important❗️
If too much stress accumulates, even if you try to heal, your mood won't lift, and you feel like you aren't being healed even if you try.
Since you want to rest your mind and body, it feels more like you end up lying down without being able to do anything at that time. It's exactly like feeling like you've run out of battery and want to become nothing.
Once you reach this state, emotional fluctuations disappear, and you fall into a depressive mood where you can't enjoy anything and don't feel like doing anything, making you feel that life is difficult.
It takes time until you feel like your normal life again.
Noticing before it gets to this pointis important for me and for HSPs!
In my case, rather than it being particularly difficult in human relationships, it's the fatigue from the trivial snags in interactions with various people in daily life, the kindness of thinking of the other person by saying 'this much is fine,' and the visual stimuli, sounds, and air from the environment, even though I'm just living a casual daily life, stress accumulates without me knowing it.
Well, everyone is like that, but...
Because I'm just doing things like sensing and being kind due to my HSP temperament, at first I don't think of it as stress at all just by living normally, soI think there are many cases where you don't feel it as stress, and when you notice it, you are somehow tiredis often the case.
◆Once you have observed yourself, let's adjust your mind and body!
Sensory sensitivity is a temperament, so whenever you feel like you might be a little tired,
adjust your mind and body❗️
It is better for HSPs to do this frequently. After all, you take in so much!
I recommend leveraging your HSP temperament to fully enjoy pleasant sensations!
This depends on the person and your mood!
Let's recover by doing things that feel good to you.
・Make time for yourself
・Release stress
・Heal by engaging your five senses
・Do things that feel good
In my case, I:
・Listen to classical music. (Especially Debussy's 'Clair de Lune' is a staple)
・Take a long bath. (Until I start to sweat a little)
・Immerse myself in scents using bath salts or aroma oils. (I love lavender and rose)
・Do gentle stretches before bed to relax my body. (I just focus on loosening up)
・Go out for a delicious meal. (Tasty meat✨ or things that are visually lovely)
・Immerse myself in the scenery at a location with a great view. (I live near the ocean, so it's the best)
・Spend time with friends I can relax with (listening to them and having them listen to me is so calming~)
・Go to a flower shop. Decorate with flowers. (Just looking at them is enchanting)
・Relax with indirect lighting (Ah~ it feels so warm and cozy~)
Doing things I love truly heals my spirit!
Above all, don't let stress build up! Whenever I feel like I might be tired,
I make an effort to spend my time in a relaxed and calm flow❗️
I recommend this because it allows you to spend every day comfortably.
◆Summary
・If you think 'Hmm?' about yourself, turn your attention inward❗️
・Stop and observe yourself❗️
・If you feel like you might be tired, do something that feels good immediately❗️
・Heal your mind and body, and reset complete❗️
This is just my own experience, but I would be happy if you found it interesting
to see how some HSPs live their lives!
