[Fantasy Notebook] Crimson Forest - Monologue of a Smiling Shadow (From the Seasonal Picture Book)

This was published in the October 2025 seasonal picture book at the Fantasy Notebook Shop.

The leaves in the forest are changing color little by little.

Leaves dyed in red and yellow began to dance, carried by the wind. Every time the wind blows, it feels as if it is gently embracing the seasons that have passed...

With each passing moment, the forest dons the clothes of a new season.

Soft light filters through the trees. The shadows of the leaves sway, as if the forest itself is smiling.

The leaves that have fallen onto the path form a fluffy carpet. When you walk on them, they go crunch, rustle. Even your footsteps turn the color of autumn.

The sunset sky shifts from orange to purple. It gently reflects on the lake, wrapping the forest in a tender embrace. Thank you for today, see you tomorrow.

🍁Recently, I've finally started to feel that the wind is cold.


I've had the autumn illustrations ready for a while,
but I've been struggling, thinking it might still be too early to post them...
so I've been checking the mountains' change of clothes every day.

I can see the mountains from my house,
so I've been smiling as I watch the trees turn yellow little by little.

It's a bit embarrassing,
but I like walking while stepping on thefallen autumn leaves on the sidewalk🍁


Depending on the humidity, sometimes they don't make a crunching sound,
and when that happens, I walk along thinking, 'Hmm...'🤭

Oh, how did you like the story?

It's a season that's getting colder,
but for some reason, autumn has a strong image of red and warm color temperatures to me🍁

So, for the October seasonal picture book,

I didn't want to depict loneliness or the coldness of falling leaves,
but rather the moments when your heart quietly warms up,
which is why I wove this 'Madder Forest'.
