[On Parental Leave] Thinking About Why I'm Glad to Be a Company Employee While Trembling at the Thought of Returning to Work
I am currently on parental leave, raising a 0-year-old.
I will be returning to work this April.
Thankfully, I was accepted into my first-choice nursery school, and I think I've managed to get everything ready for it.
All that's left is to prepare myself mentally...
However, I am trembling with anxiety.
There is no end to the list of things I'm anxious about, butthe biggest one is probably that I'll be returning to work while handling everything on my own on weekdays (my husband is currently taking parental leave).
My friends with children around me have different environments, such as being stay-at-home moms, freelancers, or having reliable parents living nearby.
Also, if you search online, you can find miserable cries from working moms who have returned to work, so I've recently stopped looking.
Changing the subject slightly, actually... until my late 20s, I wasn't in a so-called stable job like a company employee.
Thinking, "I want to live freely!" I moved to Tokyo from the countryside in my 20s and lived as I pleased.
However, when I decided to get married, I thought, "It wouldn't be good if I stayed unstable forever," and decided, "Since I'm at it, I'll become a company employee."
As a person in my 30s with that background, I'm going to write down the merits of being a company employee.
● Merit of being a company employee ① Stability
The merits of being a company employee are stable income and job security.
Unless you are fired for a major reason, such as the company going bankrupt, work is assigned and schedules are managed, allowing you to receive a fixed salary every month. This gave me peace of mind when planning for living expenses and the future.
In fact, when I wasn't a company employee, I was free, but there was no stability, and I was anxious.
Therefore,I think it's a huge merit that company employees have work prepared for them, and don't need to find it themselves.
Stability brings me a great mental benefit.
● Merit of being a company employee ② Good benefits
What I thought after becoming a company employee is that the benefits are good.
I think the employee welfare is well-developed.
Also, I was glad to be a company employee when I was able to take maternity and parental leave without any issues!!

During my time off, I've been going out to various places to make memories.
Also, although company employees areobligated to pay social insurance and employees' pension,it's grateful thatthe company pays halfof those!
● Merit of being a company employee ③ Receiving a bonus
Something you don't get if you aren't a company employee.
That is a bonus!!
Sometimes I buy myself a reward with my bonus, and it adds richness to my life.
Thank you!
● Merit of being a company employee ④ Being able to work in a team
Company employees often work in teams.
In fact, I also worked in a team at my company.
Since I was sometimes lonely when I wasn't a company employee, I think being able to work in a team is one of the merits of being a company employee.
● Merit of being a company employee ⑤ Having social credibility
I have had experiences where I felt that social credibility differs depending on whether or not you are employed by a company.
Actually, a little while ago, my husband and I applied for a loan to buy a condominium, and it was approved without any issues.
I remember thinking that this was surely because I am a company employee.
● In Conclusion
Of course, I think there are also disadvantages to being a company employee.
However, after thinking about it, I realized there are benefits that come specifically from being a company employee.
Currently, I am trembling with anxiety about returning to work in April, but I want to keep the advantages of being a company employee in mind!
Since I anticipate being busy after returning to work, I have been trying out various baby foods, and Wakodo's baby food that dissolves in hot water is very easy to use and has been a big help.
Also, the Hot Cook is an appliance that lets you cook by just putting in the ingredients and pressing a button, so I'm really glad I bought it.
I will continue my side job after returning to work, so I plan to use convenient tools to get things done!
