It's better when you can't say it well... The radio continues today | Words from the Radio (38) ~Radio CM~
Here, I introduce words I've heard on the radio that
stayed in my heart,
or scenes that made me laugh but left a deep impression.
It will take about 2 minutes to read (568 characters).
This time, it's from a TOKYO FM radio commercial. 2025.04
It seems to be a radio commercial commemorating the station's 55th anniversary on April 26th.
The narration is by Miu Sakamoto.
(Personality of JFN's 'Miu Sakamoto's Dear Friends')
*****
When you can't say it well,
it conveys more than when you say it well.
Trivial episodes,
can become things you never forget.
Silence,
can convey more than any words.
A cheerful story,
can somehow feel sad.
A painful story,
can somehow save your heart.
Voice and breath,
something that exists before words.
More than clever words,
I want to cherish that something.
I can't say it well, but,
because I can't say it well,
the radio continues today.
*****
I am a heavy listener of Tokyo FM, so I might be biased, but
listening to this commercial, I feel deeply, 'Ah, that's so true.'
Miu's voice in the narration is also incredibly gentle and wonderful.
Listening to it again, I almost feel like crying.
I posted about a 'rabbit hole' I fell into for a project by SKY PerfecTV!.
But I think this few-second commercial conveys the charm of radio better than such a long-winded thing!
Thank you for your time reading this.
