I introduce picture books that I have read to my daughter and that received a good reaction from a father's perspective.
The one I am introducing this time is,

I bought this book through a nursery school subscription when my eldest daughter was 6 years old. My second daughter read this hand-me-down book when she was exactly 2 years old, and after she turned 2 and a half, it became a hit with her again.

When my eldest daughter was 6, she enjoyed speaking in a rap style, saying "Yoyo!"
I think my second daughter enjoyed seeing the various shops and foods when she was exactly 2. Now that she is over 2 and a half, she seems to be enjoying the rhythm of the sounds, just like her older sister. Since my second daughter likes taiyaki, she often says her favorite phrases from the book, such as "I want to buy taiyaki, I want to eat it now."

When reading picture books aloud, I feel that many of them are written with the rhythm of the sounds and the number of characters in mind. This impression is particularly strong for books aimed at toddlers, as they have fewer words.

According to the publisher's guidelines, it is recommended for reading aloud from around age 4. However, in terms of enjoying the sounds and rhythm of the words, it can be fully enjoyed from age 2.
