Do Not Surrender Your Life to Others
There are people for whom "keeping others happy"
has become the top priority in life.
When someone is in a bad mood, do you find yourself thinking about how to keep them from getting angry and end up adjusting yourself to them?
Are you acting solely out of the fear of "being disliked"?
Constantly worrying about what others think is, in a broad sense, the same thing.
The reason for this is that
you think
the other person's bad mood is "your fault."
But that bad mood is not your fault.
You may have been unreasonably scolded by parents or adults when you were a child, but someone else's bad mood is, no matter how you look at it, their own problem.
It is not your fault.
If you are always walking on eggshells to keep others happy, you end up surrendering your life to their moods.
Doesn't it feel exhausting to live your life based on someone else's mood?
Perhaps you had to keep your parents happy in the past just to survive.
Parents are in a bad mood for their own reasons.
When I was in a club, I used to try to keep the coach and seniors happy.
A child who has become a victim of adults and has internalized that behavior realizes as an adult that they have been living their life trying to keep others happy.
I learned this last year.
I was doing to my son what my parents had done to me...
You end up doing it without realizing this cycle.
In this world, there are people who think they must take on the burden of others' moods and take care of them.
Others are just in a bad mood for their own reasons.
I was just being dragged into my life by them.
Please become free from the habit of surrendering your life to others.
Just one thing: I vow to keep myself happy.
If you do that, you can reclaim your own life.
