I bought the Record of Lodoss War: The Legend set

The title says it all, but I bought the Kindle version of The Legend of Lodoss. The Legend is the story of the Demon War and the six heroes plus one, which is told within the so-called Chronicles of the Heroic Knight.

It's available to read on Amazon Unlimited, and I still own the physical books as well. But it's a pure fantasy series I love enough to buy anyway. If anything, I love it so much that I feel like the Record of Lodoss War might have existed just for the sake of The Legend of Lodoss.

It was published quite a while after the Record of Lodoss War concluded, and the content and writing style are aimed at a slightly more mature audience. It depicts the youth of the six heroes while portraying the protagonist's struggles, which will make series fans grin with delight. The cover art is by Akihiro Yamada, famous for The Twelve Kingdoms.

If you've read the Record of Lodoss War but haven't read The Legend, or if you liked the anime, you should buy it while you have the chance. It's at a very affordable price right now *2025/12/25
