[Kyoto Amanohashidate] Miyazu Harbor Stay Report & Review
Miyazu, located in the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture, is known for Amanohashidate, one of Japan's three most scenic spots.
Since we were going all the way to Miyazu for a family summer trip, I didn't just want to visit tourist spots; I wanted to stay somewhere where we could fully experience the sea.
For this family trip, we stayed at a private villa built right by the sea called "Miyazu Harbor."
This time, it was a 2-day, 1-night trip for the three of us: two adults and one elementary school-aged child.
Once we actually stayed there, I realized it wasn't just a place with a beautiful ocean view.
So, in this article, I would like to introduce how the three of us spent our day at Miyazu Harbor in the summer, from before check-in until the next morning!
The content includes information from the time of our stay. Additionally, some of the photos used are reprinted with permission from the facility's official website.
11:00 Arrived at Amanohashidate
We drove to Amanohashidate this time.
As this was a summer family trip with an elementary school child, the deciding factors for choosing "Miyazu Harbor" were:
Proximity to the sea
Having a private pool
Marine activities available during the stay
A highly private stay experience
A TV where the family can enjoy things like the Switch or videos
and we mainly focused on creating fun memories for both adults and children.
We arrived at Amanohashidate before noon and headed to "Amanohashidate View Land", famous for its "mata-nozoki" (viewing between the legs) perspective.
There are two places where you can enjoy the "mata-nozoki" view of Amanohashidate: Amanohashidate View Land and Kasamatsu Park. View Land is close to the Amanohashidate station and has small rides and a steam locomotive for children to play with, so it is recommended for those with children.
Since Amanohashidate View Land is located on a hill with a great view, you head up by monorail or a single-seater lift (which is also fun, like an attraction).
As we gained altitude, we could see the entire view of Amanohashidate, which was very refreshing and moving.

Near the mountain base station, there is a parking lot exclusively for View Land (27 cars), and you can also use the parking lot of Chion-ji Temple, a historic temple said to be the origin of the saying "three people together have the wisdom of Monju" (5 minutes to the lift station, 100 cars).
Both are close to Amanohashidate Station and the crossing point of Amanohashidate, and the parking fee is 700 yen for the whole day, so it is perfect for leaving your car and enjoying sightseeing in Amanohashidate at your leisure.
There are also bicycle rental shops near the station, so sightseeing by bicycle is recommended during pleasant seasons like spring and autumn.
You can travel to and from View Land by monorail or lift; the monorail runs every 20 minutes, while the lift operates continuously.
I was told that children from elementary school age can ride the single-person lift by themselves. I wondered if they would be scared, but they said, "I definitely want to take the lift!", so we decided to use the lift.
View Land offers a set ticket for round-trip transportation and park admission, 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for children.
You can use either the lift or the monorail for the round trip, so I thought it was very easy and nice to be able to decide based on your mood or timing at that moment.
It takes about 5 minutes one way to reach the summit, where we ate lunch at the observation restaurant, rode around the park on the SL Benkei steam locomotive, and of course, experienced the "mata-nozoki" (looking through the legs)!

What the children enjoyed were rides like the "cycle car" and "go-karts" where two people pedal to move, as well as experiential games like archery and target practice.
The "cycle car" is surprisingly tiring (lol), but the scenery was wonderful and the adults were also very satisfied.

Attractions and such cost 400 yen each time, but I think we were able to enjoy View Land quite thoroughly.

14:00 Shopping at the roadside station and supermarket
This time, we booked a plan that included a BBQ dinner.
However, at Miyazu Harbor, you are free to bring your own food and drinks!, so we decided to go shopping for additional ingredients for the BBQ, soft drinks like tea, alcohol, and desserts like ice cream before heading there.
The first place we stopped was "Roadside Station Umino-Kyoto Miyazu".

It is a roadside station located about a 7-minute drive from Amanohashidate View Land, going around the Miyazu Bay towards our accommodation, Miyazu Harbor.
Inside the store, there are dining areas, Miyazu local products, vegetables, local sake, and a variety of other items, including many things that seem like they can only be bought here.

The curry yakisoba corner is particularly eye-catching.

The curry yakisoba, with its retro characters and design, is actually called the "soul food of Miyazu" and is a flavor loved by the locals.
Since I had confirmed that it was included in our dinner BBQ menu, we decided that if it tasted good, we would buy some as souvenirs on our way home!
The next place we stopped at was the supermarket "Nishigaki Miyazu Branch"
It is located about 2 minutes by car in the direction of Miyazu Harbor from the roadside station, making it a very convenient supermarket to stop by.

It is very close to our accommodation, Miyazu Harbor, just 2 minutes by car or 13 minutes on foot, so it is fine even if you forget to buy something.
It feels like a typical "local supermarket," but it has everything from fresh meat, fish, vegetables, and alcohol to daily necessities, and they even had seasonal items like fireworks.
Especially when traveling with children, having a supermarket or convenience store near your accommodation makes a big difference in your peace of mind.
I was really glad that we had a reliable roadside station and supermarket for shopping near our accommodation this time!

15:30 Check-in at Miyazu Harbor
We arrived at Miyazu Harbor around 15:00.
There are two villas lined up that look like houses on the Mediterranean coast or in the south of France.

The first thing I thought when I arrived was,
"The sea is so close!"
As the name "Harbor" suggests, the sea is truly right nearby.
When you get out of the car, the atmosphere changes completely from the scenery of the road we had been driving on.
Feeling the seaside air and the sense of openness, the feeling that "I've come on a trip" suddenly intensifies.
With a typical hotel, you often feel like you've finally arrived at your destination after passing through the entrance, checking in at the lobby, and being guided to your room, but at Miyazu Harbor, there is a resort-like feeling from the moment you arrive.
This location is especially perfect for summer.

The wide sky.
The sea right in front of you.
A private pool.
And a wooden deck.
For this trip, rather than visiting many tourist spots, our main goal was to "enjoy the time spent at Miyazu Harbor itself," so I was excited from the moment we arrived.
The staff were also kind and friendly.
It was impressive that they were approachable rather than overly formal in their service.
When traveling with children, just having an atmosphere where it's easy to ask about little things is reassuring.

When you enter the room, the sea is right in front of you
After finishing the check-in, it was finally time to head to the room.
The first thing that caught my eye when I entered the room was, of course, the view of the sea.
The sea spreads out beyond the window, allowing you to enjoy the scenery typical of Miyazu while staying inside.

Unlike looking at the sea while sightseeing, "seeing the sea from the place where you are staying today" is special.
Even when you put your luggage down and sit on the sofa, the sea is beyond it.
Even when you are taking a break while having a drink, the sea is beyond that.
Even the time spent just gazing at the scenery without doing anything becomes part of the trip.

The interior has a clean and uncluttered impression.
The living room and kitchen are also not cluttered, and I found them easy to use.
There is an island kitchen that seems very functional, and unlike a hotel room, it feels like renting a seaside villa for the family.
The beauty of a private rental property like Miyazu Harbor is that you can spend your time at your own pace without worrying about those around you.
When you are with children, you cannot keep them quiet all the time.
Watching TV, playing games, going to the pool, and coming back to the room.
It was relaxing to be able to spend time in such a way freely.

Miyazu Harbor Equipment & Amenities
Miyazu Harbor is not only equipped with the amenities necessary for a stay just like a hotel, but also has equipment that makes you feel like you are in your own home for self-catering and the like.
There is plenty of tableware, so even for a BBQ, it is not a simple style with paper plates and disposable chopsticks, but a nice point is that you can enjoy it in a proper dining style.

And, a pleasant surprise I didn't know about when booking was this beer server.

I did buy some beer and other things to bring along, but to be able to have a cold draft beer with delicious foam right after arriving... it instantly boosted my vacation mood!

The bath is a luxurious specification where an artificial hot spring using natural minerals called 'Natural Mineral Kuri-yu' comes out of the faucet, and body care products such as shampoo are also provided.

The ocean-view bath feels even more open when you open the window.

Right in front of you, a private pool, the sea, nature-filled mountains, and a wide sky spread out.
The whole room feels like it opens toward the sea, and since there is nothing to block the view, I could feel the very open and refreshing scenery throughout my stay, and I felt a comfort that seemed to cleanse even my heart.

What I liked the most was the infinity pool
This time, what I especially liked about the facility was, after all, the infinity pool.

The pool, which appears to blend seamlessly with the ocean view, is a spot that symbolizes the charm of Miyazu Harbor.
While large shared pools at resort hotels are fun, this place offers the sense of privacy unique to a villa.

You can play leisurely with your family without worrying too much about the eyes of others.
And beyond the pool lies the sea.
Looking out at the ocean from within the water, you get a real sense of being in an extraordinary place, even though you are just swimming.
When children reach the upper grades of elementary school, they may find small play equipment unsatisfying, yet they might also get bored at quiet, adult-oriented hotels.
In that regard, I felt that Miyazu Harbor, with both pool and ocean activities, was just right for a trip with children of our age.
Of course, you can enjoy it with just a swimsuit, but if you have water play gear you usually use, like swim rings or goggles, you can likely play for even longer.
If you are going with children in the summer, I recommend packing swim rings in your car.
Clean water facilities and comfortable beds
On a trip spent playing in the ocean or pool all day, the ease of use of the water facilities is also important.
The baths at Miyazu Harbor felt clean, simple, and easy to use.

When you are with children, features like being able to use them quickly, cleanliness, and having no issues are often more appreciated than design.
After playing in the pool or ocean, you can take a shower and freshen up immediately.
On a summer trip, this alone makes things quite comfortable.
Moreover, the artificial hot spring using natural ore, called 'Natural Ore Kuguri-yu,' is said to be gentle on the skin, and it felt pleasant and soothing on skin exposed to the sea breeze.
The bedding provided on the beds also left a good impression.

The mattress had just the right amount of resilience, the futon was fluffy, and it was comfortable to sleep in.
Since you spend the day quite actively, it is a delight to have a bed waiting for you where you can sleep comfortably at the end of the day.
Full of marine activities too!
This trip wasn't just about relaxing in the room.
Miyazu Harbor is located right next to the "Marinetopia Marina", where you can enjoy not only playing in the water and relaxing in a private pool, but also marine sports such as fishing, SUP, sea kayaking, wakeboarding, and big floats.

We also enjoyed fishing and the big floats!

At the marina right next to Miyazu Harbor, you can rent life jackets, fishing rods, and more.

Inside the marina building, there is also a "small aquarium", and my son, who loves aquatic creatures like fish and shrimp, was overjoyed.

The "fishing" the kids enjoyed
Among the activities we experienced this time, one of the things the kids enjoyed the most was "fishing".

Because Miyazu Harbor is so close to the sea, fishing isn't something you have to go far away to experience; it's an extension of your stay.
Holding a rod, peering into the sea, and waiting for the fish to come.
It's not a flashy activity, but for a child, that alone is a wonderful event.
"Is there anything there?"
"Did it just move?"
The time spent waiting while gazing at the sea surface is also fun.
It's not just about whether you catch anything; spending time as a family peering into the same sea becomes a memory of the trip.
In our daily lives, it's rare for the three of us to spend tens of minutes just gazing at the sea.
It was a slightly luxurious time that was only possible because we were traveling.
There is also a free service where they will deep-fry or grill the fish you catch on the spot (exclusive to guests)!

Fishing was so much fun that we ran out of time... so we decided to stop by again after checking out the next day to enjoy more fishing and marine activities.
Heading into the sea by sea kayak
Just like fishing, what the kids enjoyed was sea kayaking.
The fun of sea kayaking is, above all, how close you are to the water's surface.
It's a completely different view from looking at the sea from the shore.
Putting the paddle into the water and moving forward by rowing ourselves.
Even if it's a bit awkward at first, once you start to understand how to move, it becomes fun just by itself.
Unlike the fun of balancing while standing on a SUP, I felt that sea kayaking is easier for parents and children to enjoy together because you can move across the sea relatively calmly.
The scenery seen from a position close to the sea surface is something else entirely compared to the sea viewed from a room or pool.
As you move forward under your own power while feeling the wind, the feeling of "playing in the sea" becomes much stronger.
The big float that got everyone the most excited
And what got the kids especially excited was the big float.

This is the exact opposite of fishing or sea kayaking, where you enjoy the sea in a relaxed way.
It is a type of marine activity where you play to your heart's content.
Riding on a float moving over the water, swaying, and getting splashed.
In any case, there is a sense of enjoying the sea with your whole body.
For children around elementary school age, this kind of straightforward, thrilling play seems to be the most fun.
From an adult's perspective,
"Since we've come all this way on a trip, I also want to take my time and look at the scenery"
I think so, but children might not feel the same way.
"I just want to play!"
They also have that feeling.
The great thing about Miyazu Harbor is that it fulfills both of those needs.
Parents can enjoy the ocean view and the atmosphere of the villa, while children can play to their heart's content in the pool or on the big float.
This was one of the moments during this trip when I felt glad I brought my children along.
Trying out SUP and wakeboarding
In addition, the next day we also experienced SUP and wakeboarding.

Even though they are all ocean activities, the fun of each one is completely different.
SUP is relatively laid-back.
Sea kayaking keeps you close to the water's surface, allowing you to enjoy the scenery as you paddle along.
The big float is the type where you get splashed and play to your heart's content.
Wakeboarding is even more active.
When you can do so many different types of ocean activities in one place, you won't get bored easily.
If you choose Miyazu Harbor for a summer trip, I personally hope you don't just spend time in your room, but try at least one marine activity.
It changes your memory from just staying at an inn with an ocean view to,
"playing in the sea at Miyazu."
It turns into that kind of memory.
18:00 Beautiful sunset
Returning to the room in the evening, it was just at sunset.

The beautiful sunset dyed Miyazu Bay red, and Miyazu Harbor was also wrapped in a magical sunset glow.

Even inside the room, it was wrapped in the sunset, making it very magical.

It was a moment that made me feel like I wanted to spend this time forever, and that I wanted to watch the sunset here again tomorrow...
18:10 Dinner BBQ by the poolside
After playing to our heart's content, it was time for dinner, which I had been especially looking forward to on this trip.
Around 18:00, we started a BBQ on the wooden deck by the poolside.
This time, we chose a plan that included BBQ ingredients, so the ingredients were already in the refrigerator.

Ingredients for two adults and a 'Kids' BBQ' for children were provided.
[Glamping BBQ Plan]
Room charge system: from 97,900 yen
Per person plan: from 26,950 yen
- Domestic Wagyu beef steak
- Amanohashidate raw sausage
- Yoka pork shoulder loin
- Beef thigh marinade
- Live abalone
- Charcoal-grilled chicken ajillo
- Miyazu soul food 'Curry Yakisoba'
- Daily skillet dish
- Seaweed salad
- Dessert
- Baguette
[Kids' BBQ Menu]
- Hamburg steak
- Frankfurter
- Grilled rice ball
- Roast ham
- Corn
- Buttered potato
In addition to luxurious main ingredients like steak and abalone, the skillet dishes were also substantial.

Basically, you just line them up on the heated BBQ grill and cook them, so it's very easy.
Enjoying Wagyu steak and abalone
What was especially delicious about this BBQ was the Wagyu steak and abalone.
When you think of BBQ, you might have an image of casually grilling meat and vegetables, but here, the ingredients also have a special feel.
When you place the Wagyu steak on the grill, it makes a nice sizzling sound, and a savory aroma spreads.
To avoid overcooking it,
'Is it about time?'
'Can I flip it over yet?'
The time spent talking while grilling is unique to BBQ.
At a restaurant, food is brought to you cooked to perfection, but with a DIY barbecue, the process itself becomes part of the meal.
And then, the abalone.
Seafood eaten near the ocean just feels a little more special.
It wasn't just luxurious meat; there were also gifts from the sea, which added variety to the table and kept us enjoying it until the very end.
Miyazu's Soul Food: Curry Yakisoba
One of the skillets caught my eye: "Miyazu's soul food: Curry Yakisoba".

While there were luxurious ingredients like Wagyu steak and abalone, the dish that surprisingly got the whole family excited was this curry yakisoba.
It's the fun part of a family trip that, rather than just the high-end ingredients, the food we made together and ate while saying,
"This is delicious!"
is what we end up remembering later on.
Eating yakisoba outdoors is fun enough on its own, but this was curry-flavored and packed with seafood.
The kids were eating it happily, too.
At home, after eating dinner, you think,
"I have to clean up."
"I have to get ready for tomorrow."
But while traveling, you can step away from those daily routines for a while.
Watching the sunset, grilling, eating, and talking.
That alone is enough.
During this stay at Miyazu Harbor, I feel like this barbecue time was the most 'family trip-like' moment of all.
The luxury of eating while watching the sunset over the sea
It wasn't just the ingredients that made this BBQ special.
What was best of all was the scenery.
Just past 6:00 PM, as we started preparing our meal, the sky gradually began to turn into a sunset.

The wooden deck by the pool.
Beyond it, the sea.
The evening light.
Feeling the breeze while the three of us in the family grilled and ate our food.
This felt truly wonderful.
If it were dinner at a regular hotel, we would have dishes brought to us in order in an air-conditioned restaurant.
Of course, that is also a luxury.
But the BBQ that day had a completely different kind of appeal.
Being outdoors, it felt open and free.
It didn't matter if we got up from our seats a little.
We could eat at our own pace while talking with our child.
Above all, the very situation of eating while gazing at the sunset felt like a true vacation.
More than just "eating something good,"
"spending a good time"
is the impression that remained.
BBQ was the best choice precisely because it was a trip with a child
Staying here with my elementary school-aged child, I felt that the BBQ dinner style was a perfect match.
With hotel course meals or traditional inn dinners, children inevitably have to deal with 'waiting time' or 'time spent sitting still'.
But with a BBQ,the act of grilling itself is an event.
'What should we grill next?'
'Is this ready to eat yet?'
Having conversations like these allows children to participate in the meal.
Playing at the beach during the day, and having a family BBQ in the evening.
It felt like we were experiencing something together throughout the entire trip.
The night pool is also beautiful at night
Once the sun sets, the pool is lit up and glows fantastically.

Dipping our toes in the pool and feeling the night breeze from the sea while relaxing after dinner was the best.
At night, the sound of the waves feels even closer, making you truly feel like you are staying by the sea.
After dinner, Netflix and Switch 2 in the room
After finishing the BBQ and relaxing by the poolside for a while, we headed to our room.
Since we spent the day being active outside, we spent the night relaxing instead.
We watched Netflix on the TV and played with the Switch 2 we brought along.
This is also why staying in a private villa is so stress-free.
It feels less like staying in a hotel and more like spending a family holiday in a slightly luxurious vacation home.
There is no need to go out for meals, and you can move straight indoors once the BBQ is finished.
The adults relax on the sofa, while the children play games.
Spending time in the same space while each doing what they enjoy.
Sometimes the adults join in the games, or watch a movie with the kids.
It may not be as flashy as the daytime activities, but these kinds of evening moments surprisingly stay in your memory during a trip.
"We played so much today, didn't we?"
The time spent talking like this was the perfect cooldown.
Sleeping in a fluffy bed
Starting with the pool, then marine activities, and BBQ.
It was truly a day full of play.
After taking a bath, we headed to our fluffy beds.
Since we spent the whole day playing outside, we felt sleepy as soon as we lay down.
When you think of a resort hotel, you might imagine going to a bar late at night, but for those with children, this kind of evening is also quite nice.
Relaxing in a space just for the family, and falling asleep whenever you get tired.
It was a very relaxing night.
The next morning: the sea breeze feels great
The next morning, when I went outside, the breeze from the sea felt wonderful.
The sea in the evening was beautiful, but the morning sea has a different kind of charm.

The quiet air of a day that has just begun.
The breeze during a time of day that isn't as hot as the afternoon.
Since we had played to our hearts' content with activities the day before, it was just right to spend the morning slowly gazing at the sea.
Being able to enjoy this kind of scenery is truly because we stayed right by the sea.

Instead of driving to a tourist spot to see the ocean, the ocean is right where you wake up in the morning.
I think this is a major appeal of staying at Miyazu Harbor.
Enjoying a hearty breakfast
Breakfast was also one of the highlights.
This BBQ plan included two meals, with breakfast as part of the set.

[Breakfast Menu]
- Fresh vegetable salad
- Roast beef burger
- Salad from our own farm with 3 types of sauce
- Dessert
- Baguette
Since we thoroughly enjoyed the Wagyu steak and abalone BBQ the night before, it was nice to eat fresh vegetables in the morning.
For the roast beef burger, the style was to toast the bread ourselves and sandwich the roast beef and vegetables inside.
It's a bit different from the Japanese-style set meals or buffets often seen at regular hotels, making it a breakfast that feels like a holiday at a villa.
Eating slowly while feeling the ocean view from the morning gives a great sense of satisfaction, even for a one-night trip.
A walk by the seaside before checkout
After breakfast, we took a walk by the seaside before checking out.
We played to our heart's content in the sea the day before, but in the morning, we just walked.

That felt great too.
Taking a leisurely walk with the family while feeling the sea breeze.
On the morning of the last day of a trip, it's easy to get busy with things like,
"What time are we leaving?"
"Have you packed your bags?"
and things tend to get hectic.
However, since we are staying so close to the sea, I want to leave enough time to take a short walk before heading home.
Walking while looking at the sea where we played yesterday, it feels like we did so many things even though it was only a one-night stay.
Miyazu Harbor integrates "staying" and "playing"
The biggest appeal of Miyazu Harbor that I felt after actually staying there is that staying and playing are not completely separated.
On a typical trip,
Sightseeing in the morning.
Leisure facilities in the afternoon.
Move to the hotel in the evening.
Check in.
Dinner.
I think we often spend our time moving from place to place like this.
But at Miyazu Harbor, there is still plenty to do even after arriving at the accommodation.
If you want to swim, go to the pool.
If you want to play in the sea, go for an activity.
If you get tired, go back to your room.
When evening comes, have a BBQ.
Because the distance between where you play and where you rest is short, family trips are very easy.
I felt this appeal strongly, especially on a summer trip like this one.
The biggest appeal I felt after actually staying there
It is difficult to choose just one thing that was the best about this stay.
The infinity pool.
The ocean view.
Marine activities.
All of these left a lasting impression.
However, if I had to summarize it,
“being able to fully enjoy the ocean in a private space”
is, I believe, the greatest appeal of Miyazu Harbor.
Unlike a hotel's shared space, you can spend time without any reservations just among yourselves.
At the same time, you aren't just cooped up in your room; the ocean and the pool are right in front of you.
If you want to relax, you can relax, and if you want to play, you can play to your heart's content.
This level of freedom was wonderful.
The day progresses at your own pace.
The sense of privacy unique to renting an entire villa, and the fact that you don't have to accommodate others, was more comfortable than I imagined for a family trip.
It seems great not just for families with children, but also for couples.
We stayed as a family of three this time, but after actually spending time there, I felt it would also be perfect for a couple's trip.
Guest rooms with ocean views.
The infinity pool.
BBQ during the sunset.
A morning walk by the seaside.
It has quite an atmosphere.
On the other hand, if you are with children, there are plenty of play options such as the pool, fishing, kayaking, and big floats.
In other words,
"People who want to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace"
and,
"People who want to play to their heart's content on their trip"
I think it is an accommodation that suits both types of people.
Miyazu Harbor Accommodation Plans
We booked the "Glamping BBQ Plan" with two meals included, but Miyazu Harbor has many other attractive plans as well.

Summer Limited Sea Play Plan
A special plan available for a limited time until October, where you can enjoy 7 types of marine activities for free, such as SUP, sea kayaking, and banana boating, which we also experienced this time.

It is a great value plan that includes activities with a room-only plan, allowing you to fully enjoy marine activities for the same price as a room-only stay.
It is also possible to add a BBQ dinner plan for +8,800 yen, and you can also choose to add breakfast such as a roast beef sandwich or a Japanese set meal for +1,650 yen.
A plan to have a deserted beach, sauna, sea bath, and BBQ all to yourself

It is a dream-like plan where you can take a boat from the marina to a deserted beach with no one else around, and enjoy a tent sauna and BBQ while having the clear sea and white sandy beach all to yourself.
We didn't choose this plan this time because our trip was mainly focused on the children, but I would love to try it once the kids are a little older!
If you love saunas, be sure to check out SAUNARE, where you can book special and discounted plans by registering for free ↓

In addition, there are various plans that can be enjoyed by everyone from families to couples, such as the winter-only "Winter Play Plan" where you can enjoy things like strawberry picking and the flexible "Room-only Plan" and limited-time discount plans, so please check them out ↓
Summary | A seaside villa where you can enjoy a whole summer family trip
This time, we spent 2 days and 1 night at Miyazu Harbor with three people: two adults and a child in the upper grades of elementary school.
Looking back, it was a real book.
We were able to enjoy so many things, it's hard to believe it was only a two-day, one-night trip.
Among them, what left the biggest impression on me was the view from the infinity pool and the evening BBQ.
We didn't just stay in a beautiful place.
We didn't just eat delicious food.
It was more than that,
"We played in that pool, didn't we?"
"The big float was fun, wasn't it?"
"We had a blast with the curry yakisoba, didn't we?"
We have so many memories that we can talk about as a family later.
That might be the best thing about staying at Miyazu Harbor.
Play for yourselves, grill for yourselves, and spend your time exactly as you like.
In return, the time spent just as a family becomes all the more meaningful.
We love the ocean.
We love the pool.
We also want to enjoy the outdoors.
But we want to avoid the hassle of camping.
I think this is a perfect accommodation for families like that.
My personal rating is 4.5 out of 5 stars.
It would be even better if we could stay with our dog, but even setting that aside, the infinity pool and the ocean view are things I would love to see again.
If you want to make the stay itself a summer vacation memory
This is a seaside villa in Miyazu that I would recommend to such families.
I hope this serves as a helpful reference for your trip to the Amanohashidate area this summer!
