Turning the smallest Traveler's Notebook into my own personal 'monochrome photo diary'.

I was lucky enough to win the 20th-anniversary limited edition card-sized Traveler's Notebook. While I wait for it to arrive, I'm thinking about how to use it.
(The first article is here)

How should I use this palm-sized notebook?

A memo pad, a to-do list, or maybe a wallet. They all sound interesting, but I've realized that for me, a Traveler's Notebook is ultimately 'something that gives shape to memories'.

I've used them for travel records and collecting stamps before, but for this tiny one, I think I'll try recording more of my daily life.

1. From 'writing' to 'sticking'

I love stationery and pens. However, I'm not very confident in my own handwriting.

When faced with a blank page, I feel pressured to 'write something good,' and it's a bit of a hurdle to fill it up during my busy daily life.
But with this card size, it's a different story. If I make photos the main focus, all I need to do is add a short note on the side to complete a diary entry.

Making 'sticking' the main event rather than 'writing.' Lowering the hurdle like that should make it easier to enjoy for a long time.

I really want to make the most of this wonderful refill.

2. Loose, self-forgiving rules

To keep it going, I'll set the rules as loosely as possible.

If I didn't go anywhere, I don't have to write. When I'm busy with business trips, it's fine to combine a few days onto one sheet. If anything, I'll just aim to write one entry a week.
The gaps where I think, 'Wow, it's been a while,' might just be part of my own style.

3. Creating a sense of unity in photos

The tool I'll use is the compact thermal printer, the Phomemo M02 Pro.

Since it's thermal paper, it costs less than 10 yen per page. If I mess up, I can just laugh it off and print another. If I'm worried about fading, there's long-term storage paper, and if it does fade, that's just part of the charm.

Above all, I'm betting that the constraint of only being able to print in black and white will surprisingly match the atmosphere of the Traveler's Notebook's leather.

4. Trying it out when the mood strikes

I cut some paper I had on hand to card size to get an idea, and it's not bad at all. I feel like a small moment from my daily life has been upgraded into a fun memory.

I feel like even if my photography skills aren't great, things look good in black and white. These are events from the past week or so.

Once I get the real thing on the 23rd, what should I print first? Now that the plan is coming together, my anticipation is growing.

Thank you for sticking with my loose concept until the end. If you found this interesting, I would be happy if you could press the 'Like' button.

Here are the stamps I used for the trial version.

I have compiled articles about card sizes.

I have collected my previous articles into a magazine.
