Playful and Unique Stationery Shops
I will introduce 5 recommended unique stationery shops, mainly in Kanda and Kuramae. These are all wonderful shops that I really like.
1. Kakimori (Kuramae)
Blending into the downtown atmosphere of Kuramae, "Kakimori" is a stationery shop that supports "people who enjoy writing." The biggest appeal of this shop is the "custom notebook" service, where you can create your own unique book. You can choose from over 60 types of covers and 30 types of inner paper while actually testing how they feel to write on. Watching the staff bind your notebook right in front of you is an irreplaceable luxury. Their custom ink service, where you can mix colors drop by drop to create your own unique shade, is also popular. If you want to rediscover the pleasure of "writing," please visit this place first.

2. mt lab. (Kuramae)
Located not far from Kakimori, "mt lab." is a concept shop that feels like a laboratory for the masking tape brand "mt." The sight of tapes lining the walls of the pure white space is nothing short of breathtaking. Here, you can enjoy experiences unique to a specialty store, such as limited-edition designs not available elsewhere and "sold by weight" options where you can specify the width down to the millimeter. They also carry special functional tapes, such as translucent clear tapes, glow-in-the-dark tapes, and high-adhesion tapes, which will expand the possibilities of your planner decoration infinitely.

3. Bumpodo (Jimbocho)
Founded in 1887, the long-established "Bumpodo" is a hall of fame for art supplies and stationery that has watched over the streets of Jimbocho. Once you step into its classic exterior, you will find everything from professional art supplies to the latest stationery packed from the basement to the ground floor. I especially recommend the general goods and stationery floor on the first floor. Despite being a long-established store, they have a sharp eye for selecting highly artistic goods and unique stationery that tell a story. This place, frequented by everyone from students to professional creators, breathes with the weight of "tools" that have been loved across generations.

4. TOBICHI (Kanda)
Located in the "Hobonichi Kanda Building" in Kanda, "TOBICHI" is a direct-managed store for Hobonichi and serves as a hub for interaction where creators and fans gather. Not only do they carry the full lineup of "Hobonichi Techo" planners, but they also frequently hold exhibitions of textiles used for planner covers and special exhibitions by associated artists. It is an exciting space that goes beyond being just a shop, making you feel a new connection with "people, things, and ideas" every time you visit.

5. Eslite Spectrum (Nihonbashi)
Located in COREDO Muromachi Terrace, "Eslite Spectrum Nihonbashi" is like a "cultural corridor" that has come from Taiwan.
The adjacent "Eslite Stationery" carries tasteful stationery collected from all over the world, such as the Taiwanese fountain pen brand "TWSBI." I love the unique atmosphere that blends Japanese, Western, and Taiwanese sensibilities.
After choosing your stationery, you can enjoy Taiwanese tea on the same floor or gaze at the rows of wonderful bookshelves. The selection of books here is truly attractive, and just following the spines of the books gives you a sense of excitement as if you might find a new hobby. Walking through a space where books and stationery naturally blend together, you will lose track of time.
