I Had a Misinterpretation of My Own Dream
I previously wrote an article about the differences in how people support their favorites.
This time, it's about a "misinterpretation" regarding a dream I had.
To put it simply, I had a dream where my favorite and I got married.
(By the way, my favorite is a host at a men's concept cafe. In other words, it was a timeline where same-sex marriage exists.)
It was an incredibly happy dream.
But when I woke up and thought back on it, I felt a sense of misinterpretation, like, "Nooooooooooo!".
※From here on out, there will be a series of sickeningly sweet stories between people of the same sex. Please be careful if you are not comfortable with this.
In the dream...
In the dream, my favorite and I were having a relaxing breakfast.
We had a little battle over who would clean up the dishes, and in the end, we cleaned them up together—it was such a sugary sweet life.
Are we newlyweds?
The lovey-dovey time before heading to work begins.
"Hey, I have to go to work now. I'm going to be late."
"No, just a little longer."
"…Oh, fine."
It was the kind of lovey-dovey interaction that wouldn't even appear in a modern romance drama.
And then we did the customary "goodbye kiss."
Furthermore, my favorite even politely waved from the balcony to see me off as I left for work.
How should I put it...
It was a life as sweet as the bonus after-story of a shojo manga that ends the moment the couple starts dating.
By the way, it seems my favorite celebrity works remotely and has a home office. Even though it's a dream, the settings are strangely detailed.
The scene changes to night.
When I got home, my favorite celebrity had made dinner and was waiting for me.
What he made was "braised pork belly."
(I think this is because we talked about cooking when I went to a restaurant with him the day before yesterday, and the topic of braised pork came up.)
"Is it... good?"
"Yeah. Your braised pork is the best in the world, [Name]-kun."
There was even such a sugary conversation.
And then, both of us fell asleep while tipsy from drinking alcohol.
We fell asleep cuddling while saying how cold it was to each other.
A massive explosion of misinterpretation!!!
Ugh, just thinking back on it makes me cringe.
It's not that I dislike my favorite celebrity at all.
It's that I have an intense loathing for myself for being married to him.
Since I'm a person with extremely low self-esteem to begin with, I'm terrified by the fact that my favorite celebrity (a god in the heavens) and I, a mere human (at the bottom of the hierarchy), have become equals.
This might be a bit of a cold way to put it, though.
The fundamental premise of my relationship with my favorite is that it is "business." His customer service and friendly attitude are basically part of his job, and they are separate from any personal affection.
The moment I unilaterally harbor romantic feelings or misjudge the distance between us, it could lead to trouble or a deterioration of our relationship.
So, I usually try to keep things professional as a customer.
A-n-d y-e-t!
The dream I had jumped over all of that.
I feel a fierce urge to retort to myself, "What the heck are you doing!"
And so, this was an article where my misinterpretation exploded.
