He is given a chance to try again—a chance to spend a certain period of time in the body of someone in the lower world to undergo training. If he realizes the magnitude of the sin he committed in his previous life through this second chance, he will be allowed to return to the cycle of reincarnation. He borrows the body of a student named "Makoto Kobayashi" who attempted suicide by drug overdose a few days earlier. While living his life, the protagonist thinks about why he tried to commit suicide. And what was the sin the protagonist originally committed?
Tantan: "This is a book I've loved ever since I read it in elementary school. While this story contains a shocking truth, it doesn't just surprise or betray the reader; it's a development that warms your heart the moment you reach the truth of the story... Yama: "Since it's the Halloween season, I thought a work dealing with witches or ghosts might be good, but... I dared to pick this up from the perspective of cosplay."
It's a work with many charms, such as unique and cute characters and a 'love for one's oshi' that pierces every otaku, but I feel the 'passionate and tear-jerking story' is its greatest charm. Some of you might think, 'Can you cry over cosplay?' but you can. Didn't you cry watching 'Haikyu!!' or 'SLAM DUNK'? Born in 1980, this is the poetry collection "Music" by contemporary tanka poet Taiji Okano. It is a book containing tanka poems about music and the days surrounding it.
Tantan: "I love tanka poems because even with a short word count, they leave room for imagination.
Since it's the poignant season of autumn, I chose a collection of tanka poems that feel like snapshots of scenes related to music and movies (and other things, of course) from our memories. Well, even if they weren't actually in our memories, it starts to feel like you had those kinds of memories. We listened to music together while watching the train leave... how nostalgic... (looking into the distance).
In this 'Music' collection, there are many tanka poems that the author, Mr. Okano, must have composed as the seasons changed, so I think the charm is that you can enjoy them at different times—autumn poems in autumn, and poems for other seasons when the season changes."
Yama: "A tanka collection! I understand the feeling of looking at tanka and feeling nostalgic for some reason. It's calming to spend time immersed in this kind of sentimentality.

I find it to be a refined atmosphere.

Entry No. 4 'Joyman Takagi's Tweet Diary 2010-2020: I'm Here' (Author: Shinya Takagi)

The comedy duo Joyman had a huge breakthrough in 2008, and their work life changed drastically in 2010. Amidst that, Joyman's Takagi continued to rhyme on Twitter (now X), which he started secretly, and kept replying 'I'm here' to tweets he found via ego-searching that asked, 'Where did Joyman go?' This book is a collection of Joyman Takagi's 10 years, re-edited in a diary style from past tweets that can no longer be scrolled back to.
Yama: "I love the words written by comedians and often read books written by them, but I chose this because I thought Mr. Takagi's melancholic writing was perfect for autumn! If you open it from the left, you can read the tweet diary, and if you open it from the right, you can read a collection of raps. My favorite is the tweet about his daughter from March 2, 2019 (please read it). As for the rap, I like 'Dogu very good'.
People who keep doing one thing for a long time and can make someone laugh with it are truly cool. I want to be a Joywoman too."
Tantan: "With the usual image of 'Nana-na-na', I thought, 'Melancholy...? Really?', but when I actually read the book, the heartwarming episodes and descriptions that evoke scenes were written with a comfortable rhythm, and yet he was a contemporary poet who would make you chuckle at the end with his signature rhymes...!!
Just reading the tweets from Mr. Takagi that included 'autumn' made me feel quite emotional.
