Participating in Wordplay ❅ Palindromes [Correction: Apology Version]
I heard Ohayone-san is calling for strange sentences... or rather, palindromes, and
since I don't dislike them, I'll give it a try.
Did you eat squid?
Yes. It's already started.
Since it's a palindrome, three, five, or seven characters are for beginners.
Is it a cold? → No way! → My family's countryside...
I lost, it's nine characters, so that's intermediate level.
(By the way, 'watashi makemashita wa' is not an original, but a very famous standard palindrome.)
I'd be grateful if you started around here.
Also, there's the trick of using patterns (← have I been watching too much Tsutaju?)
I wonder if using a model you're close with is okay.
This is convenient.
It's the [Close relationship... I wonder if it's okay] pattern.
Nakanoii suki to kisu iinokana
Nakanoii igaiyaigai iinokana
Nakanoii kibinnakonekonanbiki iinokana
(Nakanoii kibinnakonekonanbiki iinokana)
See! (The last one is full of forced logic, though 💦)
It gets longer and longer.
Nagakiyoru mune no tokimeki tono nemuru yokikana
(Nagakiyoru mune no tokimeki tono nemuru yokikana)
I'll accept that parts become meaningless as it gets longer.
It's fine as long as it has a certain atmosphere. (Full of excuses, too)
Now, for the longest one this time. A radical modification based on the palindrome above.
Nagakiyo no too no nemuri no mina mezame naminori mune no oto no yokikana
(Nagakiyo no too no nemuri no mina mezame naminori mune no oto no yokikana)
[Apology]Added on 2025/6/29
Regarding the palindrome above, it was pointed out by Ohayone-san that it is strikingly similar to a palindrome poem handed down since the Muromachi period.
■ Here it is
Nakakiyo no too no nefuri no mina mesame naminori fune no oto no yokikana
■ Repost of this article
Nagakiyo no too no nemuri no mina mezame naminori mune no oto no yokikana
Wow, only 'too no nefuri' vs 'too no nemuri'
and 'naminori fune no' vs 'naminori mune no'
are different!!
Due to the nature of palindromes, I believe it's inevitable that similar works will appear, but since it is too similar and also a quite famous (even legendary) work, as Sen-sing, I had absolutely no intention of plagiarizing, but this cannot be recognized as an original.
(I check to see if somewhat long palindromes overlap on famous palindrome sites or search engines just in case, but it seems this one didn't get flagged due to the slight differences mentioned above.)
I've made long-winded excuses, but it is a fact that they are strikingly similar. It can't be called an original, can it?
I am truly sorry to Ohayone-san and everyone who read this article.
Under these circumstances, perhaps it would be natural to refrain from creative activities, but Sen-sing intends to double the effort of my apology (if there is an autumn issue) to work on it.
I'm writing this a bit dramatically, though 💦
I will keep in mind that 'I messed up!' and continue to improve.
I'm really sorry.
