Living in Harmony with Nature

<Living in Harmony with Nature> Instead of a Self-Introduction, Episode 7
After graduating from school safely, I traveled around Japan once again.
Actually, while traveling in Nepal, I had vaguely thought that once this trip ended, I would stop traveling through primeval forests for a while.
And I wanted to live a relaxed life in the countryside while working in the fields.
Then, a group of Japanese people happened to stay at the lodge where I was staying in the deepest village of the Langtang Valley.
When I told one of the people I became friends with there about that vague idea, they said, 'Then, come visit my place sometime.'
That was my encounter with Mr. Toshio Kijima.
From that fateful connection, I traveled around Japan visiting farmers practicing natural farming and organic cultivation, and I learned about agriculture.
That world was more interesting than I had imagined.
Until now, when I was traveling in nature, I was an outsider.
However, by learning about nature through agriculture, it felt as if I were melting into nature.
I realized that the way I looked at nature was changing.
And the scenery of the world I was looking at also changed.
And as the vegetables grew, I realized that my life was becoming richer.
In 2016, I moved to Shimane Prefecture and began a life of half-farming and half-woodworking, focusing on natural farming and woodworking.
My business name is 'The Traveling Tree'.
Yes, it is the name of the book that became the catalyst for changing my life significantly.
In Shimane, I began to nurture a new life.
A life where I nurture nature with my own hands, rather than just consuming it one-sidedly as I had done until then.
Living in harmony with nature is 'a life where the more I prosper, the more nature prospers.'
I began to nurture such a life.
