Thrash Metal Reviews for Absolute Beginners: Aiming for 4444 Albums, Part 476 - Crisix [Rise...Then Rest] 2013 Spain
Hello, I am Gekkochum Urushibara. I write in plain Japanese, avoiding technical jargon and enthusiast-level talk, and I intentionally refrain from writing about band relationships, focusing instead on whether or not it is thrash. I want you to choose albums that won't disappoint, so I also intentionally introduce trash albums. In fact, I write about trash albums with the goal of 'making sure thrashers don't buy them by mistake.' I also occasionally introduce bands from other genres that thrashers might like. Knowledge will come later. By the way, I will delete this once it becomes a book.
This time, it's this one.
Crisix [Rise...Then Rest] 2013 Spain

This is their second album. It is truly a 100% pure thrash album. Like their previous work, everything, including the sound coming out of the CD and the atmosphere, has an incredibly high level of tension. It is just thrash, thrash, thrash, without giving you a moment to breathe. The album structure is almost non-existent, and it charges ahead for about 45 minutes as if challenging young thrashers. It is crafted to hit all the right spots for a thrasher, and since this album includes slower songs, you can listen to it all the way through. In any case, the energy is off the charts.
