When Our Eyes Meet
Even if I meet hundreds
or thousands of people
my heart will likely remain unmoved
my heart will likely remain unmoved
But, with just one person,
the moment our eyes meet,
my heart begins to tremble
Every time our eyes meet,
our hearts elevate one another,
and love burns bright

This poem depicts how, even if one meets many people without their heart being moved, everything can change through an encounter with just one person. I believe what is important is not the number of people, but with whom one's heart resonates.
Through the specific scene of "eyes meeting," a connection that transcends words is expressed. Eyes have power. I have crafted the content to suggest that by receiving that power from each other through our eyes, the strength of our love increases.
In that sense, the resonance of the heart is not a matter of logic, but something like a natural tremor. Isn't love something that isn't obtained through effort, but rather something that is born in an encounter, polished together, and nurtured by elevating one another while looking into each other's eyes?
Furthermore, this poem was inspired by a story heard on the radio about how sumo wrestlers repeat their pre-match rituals to look into each other's eyes and heighten their fighting spirit.
