Announcement of the Opening of the Welfare-Focused 'Metaverse Soyogi'

Nice to meet you, I am Hiro, the representative of Soyogi, a consultation service for nursing care and support.

Today, we have successfully launched our digital shelter, 'Metaverse Soyogi,' which utilizes Web3 technology and has been in preparation for some time, on the internet.

We originally began our activities on June 15, 2025, using the external metaverse platform 'Spatial.' Since then, we have continued our activities without a single day of rest, listening to the voices of many consultants and their families. We have now built our own ideal, secure base, and without stopping for even a single day since then, we have successfully completed our 'move' to this self-managed system.

Why did I, not being a professional programmer, decide to build a metaverse from scratch? The reason is very simple. I could not find a 'truly safe, welfare-focused metaverse space' for those struggling with life anywhere in the world. If I couldn't find one, I realized I had no choice but to build it myself, even if I was clumsy at it. That was how it all began.

I am a survivor of childhood abuse, and I have walked the path of a welfare supporter since my 20s. In my 30s, I developed depression and anxiety disorders due to workplace harassment, and I am also a person who has spent a long time outside of society, continuing to fight my illness. For those who find it difficult to go out or have face-to-face conversations, the metaverse can be a space that connects them to life.

That is precisely why this space had to be created from the perspective of 'people in truly difficult environments.'

Young carers with problems in their home environments and those in truly dire economic straits almost never have the latest computers or high-spec devices. I focused on an 'ultra-lightweight' design so that even such people could use it smoothly on their old smartphones. Furthermore, to accommodate the intense anxiety of those who do not want anyone to know of their existence, I originally planned a mechanism that allows for instant, anonymous entry without any 'authentication' such as a Google account.

…And yet, at the final stage of deploying to the production server, I realized I had forgotten to implement the 'movement keys' for moving an avatar on a smartphone. I had been talking big about my ideals, but at the very last minute, I was in a panic, working around the clock with AI tools to somehow squeeze in a smartphone-compatible joystick function—a rather uncool episode.

Also, because it is a space anyone can enter, I have put extraordinary effort into 'security' to protect personal information and safeguard the quiet time of our consultants from unwanted intruders.
I have thoroughly focused on the defensive formation behind the scenes, including unique safety devices that automatically detect the movements of malicious intruders or users likely to cause harassment to prevent damage before it happens (I will keep the specific activation conditions hidden so the measures cannot be bypassed), a portal barrier that requires host approval to enter, and a design that protects voice data during communication.

While we have established security that allows for safe use even now, I do not consider this complete. We plan to continue evolving this into an even gentler and more robust welfare-focused metaverse, prioritizing the peace of mind and safety of all our users while clearing up issues one by one as we notice them.

At Soyogi, we accept general welfare consultations from those involved and their families and friends for a fee. This consultation fee is not for my personal income or profit at all. 100% of the total amount is used as funding for the server maintenance costs of the metaverse we have built, development costs for more user-friendly support apps, and direct benefits to those in truly difficult environments. By circulating the fees received into the next light of support, we operate as a 'voluntary non-profit organization.'

The background to being able to shape this handmade infrastructure also includes the presence of my business partner and wife, Mai (abstract painter Mai_M, video creator, VTuber), who is always by my side actively helping with Soyogi's activities.

What we are aiming for is not a superficial welfare activity that only poses to 'save those who are easy to save.' I calmly accept the difficulty of directly saving those in truly difficult environments, such as those who cannot even own a phone, as well as my own limitations. With that in mind, I want to spread to humanity a 'gentle welfare mechanism (a gentle economic sphere)' that will continue to operate autonomously even after I die, with a resolve strong enough to change the laws of the world.

The 'Metaverse Soyogi' that opened today is a handmade, clumsy space that we have repaired after hitting walls many times.
Even so, it was born here today as a real shelter where you can take a breath safely without being bound by anyone, as long as you have a smartphone.

So that this can be a place where those who struggle with life can relax their shoulders even a little and feel relieved, I will continue to protect this space with a minimum level of tension.
