Moving Beyond 'Consultation' to Support: A Look Back at a Year of Non-Stop Operation and the Vision Behind My Personal App and Shelter Development

Nice to meet you, I am Hiro, the representative of Soyogi, a consultation service for nursing care and support.

Today, June 15, 2026, marks exactly one year since Soyogi opened. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported me, as it is thanks to you that I have been able to continue these activities every single night for the past 365 days without a single day off.

In this post, I would like to reflect on this intense year, discuss the challenges that have emerged from the consultation front lines, and share the 'new form of support' that Soyogi has embarked upon.

Being here every night for 365 days

Since we opened, I have committed myself to being at the consultation desk 100% of the time, every single night.

This is because the deep suffering and loneliness that fall through the cracks of the welfare system often strike suddenly in the middle of the night when they are least expected. When I am able to provide real-time support to someone who reaches out saying, 'I reached my limit in the middle of the night and decided to contact you,' I truly feel from the bottom of my heart that it was worth continuing this activity without a break.

Including repeat visitors, I have handled dozens of consultations over the past year. While some have successfully reached a resolution, many others continue to use our consultation services. As I walk alongside each individual in their life journey, I feel the significance and tangible impact of this work.

To save the 'unheard voices' beyond consultation

However, while I have been giving my all to the consultations right in front of me, I have also faced the harsh reality that there are many people in the world with 'indescribable troubles' or who are unable to even take the action of seeking consultation.

There are areas that simply cannot be saved by receiving consultations alone.

That is why I thought about developing browser extensions and apps for welfare purposes (for those in need). I wanted to create a mechanism that uses digital tools to protect the safety and peace of mind of people's lives, even if only indirectly.

In developing these, I had to research the laws and strict review guidelines of various countries to ensure I could provide them to the world for free, which was a great struggle. However, they were successfully approved, and just the other day, they passed the official review for the Google Play Store.

Currently, we are not just 'ready to deliver,' but at a stage where everyone can actually use them. If you are using an Android device, you can download them for free right now from the Google Play Store, and if you are using other devices, you can download them from the bottom of the Soyogi homepage.

In search of the ideal place to belong: Developing a proprietary metaverse platform

Another major challenge is the nature of the 'place to belong' where I welcome those seeking consultation.

Until now, I have been using external large-scale metaverse platforms, but I felt a strong sense of anxiety about continuing to rely on external risks that I could not control, such as changes in terms of service or the continuity of the service itself. I concluded that in order to continue activities stably for a long period, I should manage the place to belong entirely on my own.

Therefore, I developed the base platform for building this space from scratch as a personal project. That is the independently developed metaverse platform, 'Metaverse Soyogi.'

I have prepared three spaces within this 'Metaverse Soyogi' tailored to different purposes.

The first is the 'Soyogi Reception Desk.' I am basically here every night, waiting for all of you.

The second is the 'Consultation Room.' This is a completely private space just for me and the person seeking advice, where no information leaks externally, providing a space where you can talk with peace of mind.

The third is the 'Digital Shelter.' This is a place that can only be used by a limited number of users who can follow the rules of protecting each other. It is built as a place where you can rest your heart or simply stop and take a break whenever you like, without having to interact with or interfere with others.

By building the code myself while utilizing AI, I was able to incorporate a unique 'suspicious person repulsion system,' which dramatically increased safety. Furthermore, I have thoroughly considered every detail so that even those who are not accustomed to the metaverse can use it intuitively without getting lost.

That is not the only advantage of personal development. If a bug occurs, I can fix it immediately myself, and if I come up with an idea like 'it would be easier to use if it were like this,' I can add and reflect it on the spot.

Because this environment was built to be ultra-lightweight, both time performance and cost performance have improved to a level incomparable to the era of using external platforms.

By preparing our own metaverse platform, we have realized the following ideal management system:
・Stable, low-cost maintenance and operation
・Ability to divert saved operating funds to free consultations and the development of the next useful app
・Smooth and reliable usage even on the specs of budget smartphones
・Significantly reduced stress for the management side due to our unique safety system and rapid correction structure

I judge that being able to build a lightweight metaverse platform that anyone can access regardless of device specs without leaving anyone behind has been a great success at this point.

Determination for the Future as We Enter Our Second Year

Soyogi is entering its second year. I will continue to objectively and broadly recognize that there are still areas where I am immature, and I will continue to work on self-improvement every day without ever becoming complacent.

To ensure I can always welcome those seeking advice and Digital Shelter users safely and securely, I want to objectively control my own health management and work balance, and continue to maintain a healthy management system that can be sustained for a long time.

Moving forward, I will further enhance both 'indirect support,' such as the development of useful apps and tools, and 'direct support,' which involves individual consultations facing each person, and expand both forms of support further.

Thank you for your continued support of 'Soyogi,' a place for nursing care and support consultations.
