My Book of 2024
I am participating in Rei Hatta's project, "My Book."
It's a project where we introduce a book that holds deep meaning for us that we read in 2024, or even a book we have fond memories of, even if we didn't read it this year!
It sounds like so much fun♪
"What is 'my book' for me?"
"What kind of books will everyone else introduce?"
I can't stop feeling excited when I think about it!
And, just as I was thinking,
"I wonder if there's a project where everyone introduces books."
it was exactly the right time,
truly a 'timely topic.'
I decided to join right away😊
Now that it's November, looking back at the books I've read this year, they all left a deep impression.
They were all such interesting books that it's hard to choose a favorite.
Among them, I chose "The Person Who Boils Peaches (Rein Kudo)"
It seems I read it around February.
Since I happened to write a book review on note, I will include the link here.
The reason I picked up this book was the book design.
The colors and the cover were so cute, and it caught my eye because of that cuteness.
Actually, this is also the book that made me a fan of Rein Kudo.
It has a great rhythm to the writing and a sense of humor.
Above all, it is a pleasure to read.
When I first encountered Reiin Kudo's writing, I was shocked.
The things Reiin Kudo felt and her way of thinking
all of them felt so relatable.
It is not heavy, and while it is light, it has a strong core.
It is frustrating that I cannot convey it well😅
This is a book I definitely want many people to read.
And, it is the book that shocked me.
