Omikuji Mania (2025 Final Report)
It is already late December.
I probably won't be going to any shrines until the new year.
As expected, opportunities to visit shrines decrease as the end of the year approaches.
Since my October omikuji report, I have only been able to visit one shrine.
The last shrine I visited this year was Hotoku Ninomiya Shrine in Odawara.
It is a shrine dedicated to Ninomiya Sontoku.
The elementary school I attended also had a statue of Ninomiya Kinjiro carrying firewood and reading a book. I wonder if it's still there. Recently, it seems they are disappearing for the subtle reason that they might encourage 'walking while using a smartphone'...
I used the chozuya, prayed in the usual manner, and drew an omikuji. The final omikuji of 2025 was Daikichi (Great Blessing).

As a result, my Daikichi rate for this year is 41.4%.
I'll consider that a pretty good performance.

Just because I get a Daikichi doesn't necessarily mean good things will happen. I live my life believing that life is always a series of ups and downs, like the story of the old man who lost his horse. I hope next year will also be a reasonably good year, and I'll wrap up this year.
