Why Now
I feel that there are so many talented young people in the world.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to have a discussion with a young person who is passionate about launching a new business.
I believe that when launching any new business, one must carefully consider the following four things before anything else.
・What → What are you going to do
・Where → Where are you going to do it
・How → How are you going to do it
・Why Now → Why now
His plan had a clear What and Where.
However, the How was not well-refined.
And what I thought was the biggest problem was that the Why Now had not been organized.
When you are young, you probably have many things you want to do.
But resources are limited.
Aiming to enter a new market without having an image of that is equivalent to suicide.
To grow a business to the point where it is recognized by many people, you must put as much of your own effort into it as possible (without leaving it to someone else). This is because the people who become fans of your business first are attracted to your own charm, not your company or product. Unless you stand at the front yourself, fans will not increase, and if fans do not increase, the business will not expand.
If your goal is to increase your cash on hand, that is fine.
If your goal is to gain credibility, that is also fine.
But if you disperse your resources from the very first move, you will never be able to beat those who are staking their lives on running a business in that industry.
