Liberal Arts
What is liberal arts...
It means not just having knowledge, but possessing the spiritual richness, dignity, and insight cultivated through that knowledge and experience.
People with a liberal arts background are well-versed in a wide range of genres, including not only academics but also culture, art, and current affairs, so they are able to hold conversations appropriate for the occasion and explain difficult topics in an easy-to-understand manner.
Furthermore, by possessing the understanding to see the essence of things and a rich imagination, they can calmly deal with environmental changes and unexpected events. And that also becomes the power to predict the future.
Thinking about it that way, one could say that liberal arts is one of the factors that enriches our lives.
To acquire liberal arts...
Reading, appreciating art, and traveling are said to be effective. In short, it is 'input'.
However, input alone does not make it stick within you.
If it doesn't stick, it's just knowledge.
That knowledge will never grow into liberal arts.
Yes, it is important to 'output' after 'input'. I believe that by cycling through this, it settles in me and gradually becomes established as liberal arts.
However, ordinary people rarely have a place to output. That is why I use this note as a place for output.
I take what I have accumulated through input and pour it out every day in about 700 characters, organized with an introduction, development, turn, and conclusion. I have decided not to use AI because the goal is to make it stick within myself. And I believe that this routine will one day turn into liberal arts.
I don't know when that will be, but...
