[To my 500 friends] Reached 500 note followers! With gratitude, the scenery I see ahead
500
When I saw this number, what welled up in my chest was not so much a sense of achievement, but a warm feeling of gratitude.
This is not just a number.
It is proof of a solid connection with 500 people who have used their valuable time to engage with my clumsy writing.
To you, who always read my articles.
And to you, like my former self, who feels like you are 'working hard on note but can't quite take the next step.'
This article is one I want you, in particular, to read.
It is a letter from me to convey my utmost gratitude.
The path to reaching these 500 people was by no means flat.
Why do I continue to write on note while being chased by work and childcare every day as a single father?
With what thoughts have I been hitting the keyboard, and what kind of scenery have I been seeing?
In this article, I will talk about my feelings of gratitude, of course, as well as the 'tips for continuing to post' that I discovered after much trial and error.
And I will talk about the scenery I want to see with all of you from here on out.
If you are currently struggling with the growth of your note, there might be some hint hidden in this article to break through your current situation.
I would be very happy if you would stay with me until the end.

Chapter 1: [Heartfelt Gratitude] To the 500 of you, a 'thank you' I want to say again and again
First of all, please let me say these words above all else.
Thank you so, so much.
The single 'like' you pressed.
How much it illuminated my heart.
On nights when I was exhausted from work
When I felt like my heart was going to break from childcare
Every time I opened note and saw a notification for a new 'like',
'Oh, there is someone reading this'
'My words are not in vain at all'
I was encouraged again and again.
✅ Daily 'likes' are the gasoline for my heart
Each and every 'like' is not just a reaction to me.
It is a cheer from 'you' on the other side of the screen.
It was an important form of communication where I felt we were truly connected even without exchanging words.
Thank you so much.

✅ I was saved many times by your warm comments
The many heartfelt comments you have left on my articles.
Words of empathy, words of encouragement, and sometimes sharp perspectives that made me stop and think.
All of them became my flesh and blood and stirred up my creative motivation for what comes next.
Especially comments from people who are struggling with child-rearing just like me, and messages from friends aiming for the path of note monetization.
That was the greatest support for me, as I often feel lonely.
'Reading this article made me think I can do my best tomorrow too'
'Your perspective as a single father is very helpful'
Every time I received such words, it was not rare for me to have tears in my eyes alone in front of my computer. Your words taught me the significance of my posting.
✅ Do you remember my first post?
I still remember it vividly.
The day I posted my first article, I checked the view count over and over again.
I sighed at the reality that no one was reading it.
'Of course. No one would be interested in an article by a single father.'
I kept telling myself that.
I had things I wanted to convey, but they wouldn't turn into words.
I didn't know who I should be writing for.
Those days of groping in the dark continued.
✅ The wall of 100, the wall of 300... the trajectory of overcoming them
When my followers exceeded 100, the world looked a little more colorful.
My words were reaching 100 people.
It was an immense thrill.
But at the same time, a new wall stood in my way.
'I have to write more useful information'
'I have to write more interesting articles'
Such pressure tormented me.
Every time my numbers stagnated, I blamed my own lack of talent.
I would repeatedly fall into a slump comparing myself to popular creators around me.
At such times, what supported me was, as always, the presence of the followers who had been cheering me on since the beginning.
And the smile of my beloved daughter.
✅ The meaning of posting as a single father
As I continued to post, one conviction was born.
That is, 'my experience has value.'
The worries and joys of parenting as a single father.
The difficulty of balancing it with work.
The eyes of society.
These are by no means my own unique experiences.
There is definitely someone somewhere working hard in similar circumstances.
And for those who are not, my perspective might provide some new insights.
Chapter 3: Three things I kept in mind to reach 500 followers
From here, I will change my perspective a little and share the trajectory of how I reached 500 followers.
I will analyze and share specifically what I thought about and how I acted.
This is a concrete message of support from me to you, who are currently struggling with note.
1. [Persona] Delivering to just one person
A trap many people fall into is writing articles that try to please everyone because they want many people to read them.
However, that will not strike deep into anyone's heart.
What I was conscious of was setting a specific 'ideal reader (persona)' for just one person.
(Honestly, I waver sometimes too)
✅ My persona setting
* Late 30s, male, company employee
* Recently divorced and took custody of his elementary school daughter
* Struggling to balance work with unfamiliar housework and childcare
* Worried about future finances and parenting
* Interested in blogs and note as a side job, but doesn't know where to start
Write articles as if writing a letter to this 'just one person'.
By doing so, passion naturally enters the writing, and the words become concrete.
Strangely, the articles written for 'just one person' are the ones that, as a result, make many people feel, 'This is about me.'
Whose problems does your article solve, and what kind of future do you want to show them?
Please try setting your own unique persona.
2. The magic of the 'three elements of rhetoric' that moves readers' hearts
What I value most in writing articles is the 'three elements of rhetoric' proposed by the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle.
* Logos: Logic and reason
* Pathos: Passion and emotion
* Ethos: Trust and character
By incorporating these three elements into your articles in a balanced way, they will resonate deeply with readers.
You will be able to write articles that encourage action.

✅ Logos (Logic): Providing a sense of conviction
This is the framework of the article.
If it is a how-to article, the data or systematic explanation that serves as the basis falls under this.
Providing information that allows readers to be convinced, 'I see, that makes sense,' increases the value of the article.
✅ Pathos (Passion): Stirring the heart
However, people are not moved by logic alone.
You need 'Pathos' to appeal to the reader's emotions.
My failures, joys and struggles in parenting, and passionate thoughts toward goals.
Such human-like episodes call for the reader's empathy and stir their hearts.
To have them think, 'This person is struggling in the same way,' or 'I want to support this person.'
It might be said that this is the most important element for that.
✅ Ethos (Trust): I can trust this person because it's them
And the foundation that supports Logos and Pathos is 'Ethos'.
This refers to the sense of trust born from the writer's character, expertise, and sincerity.
Continuing to post consistently
Replying sincerely to comments from readers
And above all, speaking words backed by one's own experience.
The fact that I am open about my position as a 'single father' is also part of building this Ethos.
It is the most precious asset that can only be obtained through daily accumulation.
Does your article contain these three elements in a balanced way?
Please try reviewing your own writing from this perspective.
3. The strongest talent called 'continuation'. Mechanisms and friends are the key
Finally, the simplest yet most difficult thing.
That is 'continuation'.
Continuous updating is by no means easy.
Especially if you have work or childcare.
However, continuation is the only way to foster trust (Ethos) from readers and improve your own skills.
I devised the following two things for continuation.
✅ Create a 'mechanism' for writing
・Stocking ideas:
Always keep trivial daily realizations, conversations with my daughter, impressions of books I've read, etc., in my smartphone's memo pad.
・Securing time:
Forcing writing time into my daily rhythm, such as 'writing for just 30 minutes in the morning' or 'thinking about the structure on the commuter train'.
・Don't aim for perfection:
Decide in my heart, 'It's fine at 80% completion, so publish it first.'
Perfectionism is the greatest enemy of continuation.
✅ Interaction maintains motivation
note is not a place to fight alone.
Reading articles by creators who are working hard in the same way, sending comments, and interacting.
This maintains motivation surprisingly well.
Being stimulated by others' efforts and thinking, 'I'll do my best too.'
It is because I have friends connected by invisible bonds like that that I have been able to continue until today.
If you are feeling lonely, please gather your courage, take a step forward, and send a comment to a creator you are interested in.
A new world should open up from there.
Chapter 4: To the scenery of 1000 people. The future I want to see with you from now on
Standing at one milestone of 500 people, a new horizon is already spreading before my eyes.
My next goal.
That is to reach 1000 followers.
But that is not just a numerical goal.
I want to share even richer and even greater excitement with 1000 friends.
That is the challenge for that.
✅ Deeper, more useful articles
From now on, I want to deliver articles that are more useful to you than ever before.
・A more practical roadmap for note monetization
・My theories on parenting and education as a single father
・Ultra-concrete work and time management techniques to achieve results in limited time
I will pour all of my experience and analysis into this,
and I promise to write articles that can bring even a small positive change to your life.
✅ I want to cherish the 'dialogue' with you all
And I want to cherish the dialogue with you more than ever.
Please tell me about yourself in the comments section.
What dream do you want to achieve on note?
What are you struggling with right now?
Your voice will be the guide that creates my next article.
We can talk together, learn together, and grow together.
That is the kind of community I want to build in this place.
Summary: [Still in progress] With gratitude once again
Thank you so much for everything up to this point.
This place of 500 followers is by no means the goal.
It is part of a grand climb.
I am a little out of breath, but the view from here is more beautiful than I could have imagined when I started climbing.

And I am not seeing this view alone.
By my side is 'you,' who sweats and encourages me along the way.
That is my greatest strength.
I will continue to climb this slope at my own pace, one step at a time.
There will be times when I stumble and times when I stop.
When that happens, I would be happy if you could push me forward again with your 'likes' and 'comments'.
And when I stand at the next peak of 1,000 people someday, let's look at an even more wonderful view than today together.
I sincerely hope that my note will continue to be a small joy in your life and vitality for tomorrow.
Thank you again, truly.
And I look forward to your continued support.
