Activities in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture have begun!
Hello everyone!
This is Watanabe from the Public Relations Office of Solar Crew Co., Ltd.
Today, I would like to introduce our new initiatives in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, and our integrated learning programs at elementary schools in Yokohama City!
Our collaboration with Nishimura Joy, a home center chain, has finally begun!

The other day, I visited Takamatsu City and had the opportunity to talk about Solar Crew's activities at two different venues, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
First, in the morning, I participated in the local disaster prevention drillheld in the Ichinomiya district.
In front of the local residents, I spoke about Solar Crew's initiative to 'revitalize vacant houses as local disaster prevention hubs.'

The local residents listened very intently, and I was once again struck by the high level of disaster prevention awareness in the Ichinomiya district.
It was a valuable time to share with everyone the importance of having a place in the community that we can rely on in times of disaster.
In the afternoon, I gave a talk at the 'Disaster Prevention Fair' held at the Nishimura Joy Nariai Store.
It was a very meaningful time, as I was able to talk about vacant house utilization and community development while interacting with shoppers and local residents.

Moving forward, we would like to continue promoting the creation of local hubs using vacant houses within Takamatsu City.
If you have any information about vacant houses in Takamatsu City, we would be happy if you could reach out to Nishimura Joy Nariai Store!
And, for lunch, when you think of Kagawa, it has to be udon.
This time, we went to 'Nakanishi Udon'.

The firm noodles and simple broth were delicious, and it seemed like Kawahara-san was completely hooked.
Being able to enjoy delicious local food is one of the pleasures of business trips.
Integrated learning at an elementary school in Yokohama City
We are also in charge of integrated learning time at an elementary school this month.
This time, we made Mölkky sets using thinned wood from Kanagawa Prefecture.

We used special tools to cut the wood, and the children were in charge of designing each piece freely. Many colorful and unique Mölkky sets were completed.

The children seemed to have a lot of fun because they could play with the tools they made themselves.
I think it is truly wonderful that they can naturally learn about forests, resources, and the SDGs through experiences like this.
Solar Crew bases spreading across the country
Kawahara was in Kagawa last week, but this month
Osaka, Hiroshima, Shizuoka, and Ibaraki
are among the places he plans to fly to across the country.
Solar Crew's initiatives are gradually beginning to spread nationwide.
I feel that by establishing bases in each region, regions will connect with one another, and new initiatives will be born.
Moving forward, we will continue to advance our activities to transform vacant houses into regional assets together with our partners across the country!
