May My Thoughts Reach You!! (Self-Introduction & Profile Renewal)

It has been over a year since I started on note, but

better late than never, I have renewed my self-introduction and profile!

Why did I renew it?

That is because I was influenced by an article and a person that moved my heart.

Unfortunately, the article was deleted due to the author's personal circumstances.

However, what was that person aiming to convey?
Why did they come to have those thoughts?

Their thoughts touched my heart.

note is

a wonderful town where you can "convey the thoughts you want to share to the people you want to reach!"

It is a wonderful town where you can do that.

My thoughts can reach someone's heart!

Sometimes that can be helpful to someone,

and I myself have been saved by someone's thoughts,

or had my own resolve strengthened by them.

In such a wonderful note town,

I decided to write a self-introduction so we can easily talk to each other!

That is what I thought.

I apologize for the late introduction.

My name is "Soi".

I am a 57-year-old active teacher.

The profile I created when I enrolled in "note University" in November 2020 was

It's Soi! Tee-hee!

something like that.

I don't think that's necessarily bad.

At that time, I was just a hobbyist noter.

However, this April, I decided to walk the path as a side-hustle noter.

I want to use my experience to be useful to someone!

Having made that resolution,

"I want to support them!"

I realized I needed a self-introduction that would make people feel that way.

"Tee-hee!" isn't quite right, is it? (laughs)

I gave myself a "wake-up call!"

So, that was a long introduction.

Now, let's start the self-introduction!

Image 2

What is Soi's main job?

I am an active junior high school teacher.

6 years in elementary school, and 28 years dedicated to junior high school since then.

Before I knew it, only 3 years remain until retirement.

Image 3

My selling point is "growing the roots of my students' hearts!"

My core was established in my third year after graduation.

To nurture a resilient heart that allows children to carve out their own lives with their own strength.

I expressed this as the roots of the heart.

A dandelion that breaks through asphalt to sprout.

Its roots grow deep.

Roots that grow without giving up, no matter the environment.

I want them to live resiliently like this!

That is my educational philosophy, which remains unchanged even now,

and it is also my "selling point."

Image 4

Every child wishes to "live better!"

The treasure I gained during my 34 years as a teacher is

that every child wishes to "live better"

knowing that.

I have also faced many students who were called "mischievous" or "delinquents."

Even they, deep in their hearts, wish to "live better!"

They hold such a wish.

From this experience, I developed a habit of thinking in this way.

That is,

Instead of judging people by their superficial words and actions,
I try to imagine what they are thinking at the root of their hearts.

That is my habit.

When I perceive people that way,

no matter how much they put on a brave front,

“they are asking for help”

I can see such signs.

Image 5

The words I have polished

Once my antenna for “noticing the heart's signs” of students in trouble becomes sharper,

the next challenge became,

how do I interact with such students?

Noticing the heart's signs of students,

and in order to help their hearts grow from the roots,

what I gained from the experience of facing them head-on.

That is “words that nurture the heart.”

I also have the pride of having nurtured the hearts of 2,500 children.

Conversely, there were also bitter experiences where things did not go as expected.

I have compiled such experiences in this Kindle book.

It includes success stories where hearts were nurtured,

as well as bitter experiences where I damaged the trust with children due to incorrect words.

I am sharing my experiences.

Every child wishes to 'live better'.

This applies not only to children, but to everyone.

I want to be helpful with words for such people!

That is my wish.

Image 6

Things I have done to help grow the roots of the heart

The school where I worked as a new graduate was a multi-grade school with about 20 students in total.

'Multi-grade' refers to a school where students of different grades learn in the same classroom.

I became the homeroom teacher for seven 3rd and 4th graders.

When the number of students is small, classroom administrative work like grading tests is very easy.

However, when the number of students is small, the interactions between each other become that much more 'intense'.

Including between children, and between teachers and children,

because it is so intense, once human relationships become strained, there is nowhere to escape.

It is difficult to repair.

I have seen such examples as well.

Instead of chanting slogans like,

'Let's get along!',

through classes where we learn and polish each other,

What I learned after trial and error with classroom management was

to convey my resolve with honesty and sincerity.

It is a clash of sincerity and honesty!

Children will listen to what the teacher says

This premise does not hold up.

Being a new graduate, I am close in age, so it is easy to feel a sense of closeness, but

there was also pushback because of that.

In my third year, I reset the relationship that had become overly familiar for better or worse.

Specifically,

at the beginning of the school year,

I declared, "I will do my best to support you in growing your inner roots!"

"I want children to grow up with strong inner roots so they can live their lives better!"

I have been conveying that wish.

Children who can grow their inner roots are

・Children who take on challenges
・Children who value their relationships with others

and so on, I tell them.

At the same time,

I also declare, "I will never tolerate anything that would wither your inner roots."

For example,

...

・I will never tolerate bullying.
・I will never tolerate words or actions that hold others back.

In class,

Why do we learn?

I had them think deeply about the significance of learning.

If this foundation is weak,

I learned during my first two years as a new teacher that students cannot become independent learners or a learning community.

I believe that the meaning and significance of learning are the roots of education, and only when those are present can various teaching styles be effective.

I currently teach junior high school students, but this fundamental principle remains unchanged.

I teach them how to learn, but I have intentionally decided not to spoon-feed them.

*Based on my experience at this time, I published my first story.

Image 7

Asking "What for?" helps children grow on their own.

The core of my classes,

"Why do we learn?"

When I kept asking this, there was a change in the students' attitude toward learning.

Similarly, regarding every action,

I would repeatedly ask,

"What is this for?"

For example, club activities.

"What is your purpose for participating in this club?"

When you dig deep into this,

you will start to act with a sense of purpose on your own, without needing to be told by a teacher.

In school settings in particular, there are various situations that require caution and guidance.

At such times, if you convey it by saying, "Because of XX, please be careful not to do YY,"

it seems to sink into the child's heart more easily.

Conversely, I also learned that if the "Because of XX" part is based on questionable reasoning, you should reconsider the necessity of the guidance itself.

Such experiences are useful in child-rearing,

helping children learn for themselves and grow their hearts!

With that thought in mind, I have compiled this into a Kindle book as well.

I am sharing this with the hope that my experiences will be useful for various interpersonal relationships, starting with parents who are in the midst of raising children.

Image 8

I want to make my school experiences useful for people struggling with child-rearing and interpersonal relationships!

That was one example of my experience.

I hope that what I have experienced in the school environment for 34 years

will be useful to many people who are struggling with child-rearing and interpersonal relationships!

I am writing articles with that wish in mind.

In my regular articles, I share my thoughts on "heart," "life," "child-rearing," and "education."

Also, I aim to publish a Kindle book every month and am currently writing my 14th book.

I am also sharing information on Twitter and Stand.fm!

I look forward to connecting with you!

Profile

This is the kind of person Soi is😁

❤️Origin: Born in a town almost in the center of Hokkaido. I have never lived outside of Hokkaido. (A true Hokkaido native) I also admire the idea of living in a tropical climate.
❤️Job: Junior high school teacher (Social Studies) and soccer coach. My motto is to support the growth of the roots of the heart. From this year (2021), I have also awakened to a consciousness that leads to world peace. Four years until retirement. I share the learning I have cultivated as a teacher on note. I am currently working on monetization.
❤️Strengths: Called a "man with a heart of steel," I have been on the front lines of student guidance for 20 years. I may appear unfazed by anything, but I am actually quite naive. I want to keep a flexible heart.
❤️Health: I surprisingly enjoy getting a stomach and colon endoscopy once a year. I almost never catch a cold. I have had gout for 20 years. I used to suffer from terrible migraines, but they were completely cured by a mysterious form of chiropractic treatment.
❤️Thinking: I value flow and timing. I want to view things from a broad perspective. However, I have a schizoid temperament and am basically hyperactive. I feel no discomfort with the existence of an unseen world. I feel that I am living now to experience everything. That is why I cherish and savor living in the present!
❤️Motto: Do it as soon as you think of it. Even if it means changing your mind in the morning and evening. I value a sense of speed. But I also leave space for relaxation. This creates vitality in life. Ichigo Ichie (Once-in-a-lifetime encounter). I cherish connections. I cherish and savor living in the present!

[Goal Revision]
As of June 15, due to a shift away from focusing on numbers, my goal has changed to generating a certain amount of revenue on note and Kindle through the integration of Twitter, note, and Kindle.

→ I aim to connect with many people and realize a warm and secure society. To that end, I want to fill my heart with gratitude and let love overflow. My own peace will spread further and further. With this, I will realize world peace!

[Goal Revision] (Added on March 20, 2022)

I no longer have any goals.😆

I am enjoying the world of note as my heart leads me and as I am guided by connections.

I have nothing but gratitude for wonderful encounters.

❤️Challenge: I declared the publication of paid articles and Kindle e-books in 2021 as a pre-celebration. It has already come true! My current challenge is to reach 5-digit monthly revenue from Kindle and paid articles.

[Challenge Revision] What I think now after continuing to publish one book every month since April 2021.
Rather than 5-digit revenue, I am now conceptualizing stories that will be read for a long time and remain in people's hearts. If possible, I am currently planning works that will continue to be read even after I die! (Added on August 22, 2022)

2021

→ Kindle publication in April!

* It seems it will take a little longer than the pace of one novel per month.

→ Created 4 paid articles. The challenge is writing articles that sell. → I don't think I will write paid articles basically. Revised to focus mainly on heart-to-heart interaction on note (August 27, 2022)
