ユキヒョウについて書き始めた理由 Why I Started Writing About Snow Leopards

私はユキヒョウと巡り合い、ユキヒョウのために何かしたいと思い始めました。
My encounter with the snow leopard inspired a deep desire to do something for them.

ユキヒョウ保護の最前線で取り組む方々は、「誰にでもユキヒョウを守れることがある」とおっしゃっています。たとえば、環境に負荷をかけないライフスタイルに変えること、も大きな力になると思いましたが、私なりにユキヒョウのために出来ることは何だろう？と考えた結果、ユキヒョウについて書いてみようと思いました。
Those on the front lines of snow leopard conservation often say, "Everyone can protect them." While adopting an eco-friendly lifestyle is a powerful way to help, I found myself wondering, What is the specific contribution I can make? My answer was to write about them.

そもそも私が知りたいユキヒョウ情報について日本語で検索しても出てきませんでした。日本語でのユキヒョウ情報はほとんどありません。私は英語のサイトでユキヒョウ情報を得ていたので、私が気になった切り口から書いていこうと思いました。
When I first sought the information I wanted to know, I found very little available in Japanese. Most of my own knowledge came from English-language sites. This led me to realize that I could provide a unique perspective by writing about the aspects of snow leopards that personally intrigued me.

ただ、入手できるユキヒョウ情報は限られていますので、10回くらいしか投稿できないかも、と思っていたのですが、ユキヒョウたちに背中を押され（^^）それ以上に続けることができました。
Since information on snow leopards is relatively limited, I initially thought I might only have enough material for about ten posts. However, I felt as though the snow leopards encouraged me 😊, and I have been able to continue far beyond that.
