Making Daily Posting Easier: 5 Steps to Turn Your Daily Life into Note Content
I've been blogging for about 10 years now, but back in the day, I was a real pro at the 'Nothing to Write About Championship.' (Wait, what even is a pro at that?!)
Honestly, I'd sit at my desk just groaning, 'Ugh...', and end up spending the whole day staring at my phone. By night, I'd feel self-loathing, thinking, 'Ah, I didn't write anything today either...', and then I'd go to a bookstore the next day looking for something to use as material...
But you know, I really want people who are struggling to find topics, just like I was back then, to read this article.
Actually, it's not that you don't have any topics. The seeds for articles are scattered all over your daily life. You just lack the perspective to pick them up as 'content'.
In this article, to break the curse that plagues writers who think 'I can't write...', I'm going to teach you five super simple steps that I actually use. Once I started practicing this method, blogging and posting on note every day stopped being a struggle for me (well, maybe a little bit of a struggle), and the reactions from my readers clearly changed.
・Sense: Catch the moment your heart flutters
・Dig deep: Explore the reasons behind those emotions
・Focus: Narrow it down to one point you want to convey and shape it
・Engrave: Leave a question or lingering impression in the reader's heart
・Continue : Make finding topics a habit
These 5 steps don't actually require any special experiences, and anyone can start right away. (Really). I want you, who thinks 'I don't have any special experiences...', to know the power of this method.
Once you know this, you'll never have to worry about 'having no topics' again. Or rather, you might even be troubled by having too many. (Okay, that's an exaggeration, sorry).
I wrote this just for you, who truly wants to change your current situation and move someone's heart with the words you write.
Use this article as a reference for writing on note!
✅ Step 1) Sense: That feeling of mental fog is a perfect seed for content (rolling eyes)
I was like that too back then. I'd work hard to write and post an article, but the 'likes' would be in the single digits at best. Even when I got a notification, I'd feel down, thinking, 'Only the third one...'. Honestly, it was a moment that drained my motivation.
But if you think about it calmly, readers are more likely to empathize with gritty struggles and failures than with sparkling success stories. The feeling of working hard but not being rewarded is a frustration many people share, which is exactly why it resonates so well with a 'I get it!'
So, how exactly can you sense that 'mental fog'? The hint lies in the small sense of discomfort or feelings that are on the verge of becoming words that you are holding.
・I'm posting every day, but I'm starting to feel tired...
・Compared to other people's articles, mine feels kind of shallow...
・I worked hard to write this, but I feel like it hasn't reached anyone...
These feelings of 'Oh, I don't like this' or 'Wait, something is wrong.' That is exactly the sprout of a topic. There's no need to force yourself to write positive stories. Make it a habit to ask 'Why?' the moment your heart feels a prick. Just doing that will make your writing much more readable.
✅ Step 2) Dig deep → Throw 'So what?' at yourself
Just sensing the fog won't make it a topic. Because if you just end it with 'Wait, something is wrong,' for the reader, it's just 'So what?' and it's over.
To add depth to your note, it's super important to keep throwing 'Why did I think that?' at yourself. I call this process 'digging out topics' on my own. (The naming is just as it is).
The method is simple.
Write down the events or emotions from that time (e.g., I worked hard to write it, but I didn't get any likes)
Repeat 'Why?' or 'How come?' in response to that
For example:
Why didn't I get any likes even though I worked hard to write it? → Is there some reason for it?
Why do I feel like there's a reason? → Because there's little reaction from readers.
Why is there little reaction? → Am I prioritizing what I want to write over the reader's perspective?
Why prioritize yourself? → Because it's easier to write that way.
Why write about it just because it's easier? → Because I want to finish quickly...
See, at first it was just "I'm not getting any likes," but when you dig deeper, you reach the root cause of "I want to finish writing quickly," right?
The more you dig, the more raw emotion turns into an "insight," transforming into content that pierces the reader's heart.
✅ Step 3) Focus → Narrow it down to one point you want to convey and give it shape
I totally understand the urge to be greedy and think, "I have to write about this and that too!" In the world of SEO, comprehensiveness is valued, so you naturally want to include everything. It is true that pages that cover information related to a topic without omission or excess are more likely to be evaluated by search engines.
However, Note is read by people, not search engines. If you try to include everything, the focus becomes blurred and it stops getting through. What happens if you put sushi on curry? ...It's just a chaotic mess.
That's why you need a "focus" perspective. From the questions and insights that emerge from digging deep into your topic, choose the one point that will resonate most with the reader and give it shape.
For example, if you make the insight "I'm prioritizing what I want to write over the reader's perspective" your theme,
"Self-centered articles don't reach anyone. Let's write while keeping the person we want to reach in mind."
"What the reader wants to know versus what I want to write. Bridging that gap is the first step toward empathy."
By narrowing down the theme like this, it will reach the reader directly.
Focus is the technique that turns your Note into something that resonates.
✅ Step 4) Engrave → Leave empathy in the reader's heart
The final touch. It's a waste if you let the reader finish with just a "meh." By leaving a small imprint in your writing, a sense of warmth remains with them even after they finish reading.
The important thing isn't to present a perfect answer, but to make them think, "Oh, I've felt that way too." That empathy turns the article from mere reading material into something personal.
I personally found that the response from readers was clearly better when I wrote about my failures and struggles. I think that's because I didn't just list information, but managed to engrave a small sense of empathy within them.
If you, as a reader of this article, can notice even a "moment when your heart was moved" tomorrow, then that is a huge success. Your confusion and struggles connect with feelings that someone else hasn't been able to put into words.
Leaving empathy behind. Leaving a question behind. That is what it means to engrave something into the reader's heart.
✅ Step 5) Continue → Turn finding content into a habit
Even if you write well once, it's a waste to stop there. The important thing is to incorporate an "eye for finding content" into your daily life.
I started leaving a single line in my smartphone memo about 'today's snag,' which allowed article ideas to accumulate automatically.
By doing this, you'll almost never have to panic about 'having no ideas when it's time to write!'
Finding ideas isn't about talent; it's about habit.
If you keep stacking up your realizations, writing will emerge naturally.
Consistency is the ultimate way to find ideas.
✅ Summary
The above is what I do when I find ideas in my daily life and turn them into writing.
Notice the moment your heart is moved, then dig into and explore that emotion.
Focus on one point from the realizations that emerge, and finally, leave a lingering impression on the reader's heart.
And above all, incorporate a system into your daily life to keep this going.
Even without special experiences, if you make this a habit, you will almost never worry about 'having no ideas...'
I will continue to do my best in a relaxed and fun way, so if you could give me a like, comment, or follow, I would be incredibly happy. I will follow back 100% (in fact, I might even find you and follow you first).
