The trigger for my decision was not logic

Making a decision.
Before that, there is a trigger.

The trigger is when
your own heart is moved.

trying to move forward.

I have an episode where I felt that was important.

My first step was

The day I started my business is today.

I will talk about the motivation behind it and
the episodes that left an impression on me.

Starting a business in the blink of an eye

Just like a wedding anniversary,
there is a clear date for starting a business.

It is the day I submitted my business opening notification.

I used an app called
freee Kaigyo to
apply electronically.

It was last August.

Applying electronically was
easier than I thought, and

with just my smartphone,
I became a sole proprietor in no time.

What an amazing era it is.

After a while,
I received an email from the tax office confirming receipt,

and finally, I could
feel a little bit that my new life
had begun.

When opening a business, you give it a trade name.

It is the name of your company or shop.

You can apply without one,
using your own legal name.

Since I had the chance,
I wanted to choose one I liked.

I thought about it carefully.

The business name is

"Orion Lab"

Orion, like the constellation Orion.

It is the largest constellation in the winter sky and part of the "Winter Triangle."

"To guide"

"A landmark"

I included those meanings.

"Lab" refers to a base for learning or a place for research.

I have always liked research
and university laboratories as well,

so I combined the two
to create Orion Lab.

But this,
is the official, polished reason.

Actually, there is a hidden theme as well.

Because I love
Orion Beer---!!

I love Okinawa and I love Orion Beer.

I even negotiated to have
Orion Beer served at my wedding.

I chose my business name
because I wanted to be surrounded by the things I love,
so that is what I named it.

How I felt after starting the business

Now that I have actually started,

a sense of excitement and
a sense of responsibility to do my best
have emerged naturally.

I want to make sure
I never forget how I feel right now.

I will continue steadily,
without pushing myself too hard.

Taking advantage of the agility
that comes with being a sole proprietor,
I will take small steps
forward.

Even if I am a little off track,
I can start over right away.

I want to stay light on my feet
so that I can take the next step at any time.

After submitting my business registration,
I went to pick up my children from daycare.

There was a white bird flying
over the rice fields I always pass by.

A white bird in the clear blue summer sky.

It was so beautiful and free,
and I felt like I was being cheered on.

By the way, there is a bird
on the freee app icon too,
and I felt a sense of freedom there as well.

When I told my wife I had started my business,

"Please do your best,"

she said in a polite tone,
with a slightly shy
message of support.

I have to do my best.

I will make sure not to forget this day,
and thisfirst step.I thought to myself.

That's how I felt.

There isn't just one reason for starting.

When you start moving forward,
I believe there is always a trigger.

In my case,

the trigger was taking a leave of absence
when the balance between housework, childcare, and work became too difficult.

During that time,
I thought about what I really wanted to do
and my ideal way of working.

To maintain that balance now,
an eight-hour workday is too long.

Feeling that way,
I aimed for a flexible way of working
and chose the path of starting my own business.

While researching side jobs and entrepreneurship,
I decided to focus on what I love and what I'm good at:

writing,
and selling content.

My trigger was
busyness and taking a leave of absence.

It was a bitnegative.However, the actions born from that—


time to face myself

and starting a business—
have now become a

major
plus.

For each person,
the trigger is different.

If it's a positive trigger,

Whether it's small or large,

when your heart is moved,
when you feel an impulse in your chest,

That might be the
trigger for you.

Don't let that feeling slip away,

I feel that by taking action,
even if it's small,
the future can change.

The work or hobbies
