Prioritizing Motivation
Hello everyone, thank you for your hard work♪
Thank you for opening this.
I am Dr. Akebono, here to help you transform negative thinking into positive thinking♪
I will continue to share content that makes the most of your curiosity and desire to learn, so please come back and check it out✨
Let's make sure to incorporate rewards for ourselves into our daily routines as we go about our days😉
Taking breaks and giving yourself rewards isn't a bad thing; rather, it's a great opportunity,
and it's a precious time when you can come up with ideas and clear your mind✨
ーーーーー
As for this time, while I was casually working seriously on something,
a thought came to me suddenly.
It was the question of whether this is truly something with a high priority.
I hope to write about the prioritization of motivation in this article♪
Now, let's enter the world of Dr. Akebono.
Is there a limit to being serious?
It may sound like I'm repeating the obvious, but being serious actually has a priority level of being serious.
There are quite a few times when we unexpectedly use our energy and get serious about things, aren't there?
For me, I get serious when playing shogi, when reading notes, or when writing notes...
But these things don't last long, do they💦
This is because you haven't prioritized your seriousness.
In my case, I play shogi with 100% seriousness,
I read notes with 100% seriousness,
and I write notes with 100% seriousness.
For example, what if you only had 150% of seriousness to give?
Of course, you would end up twice as tired.
Since there are three things, if you divide it, you can only commit 50% to each,
but because you are forcing 100% into each, you are exceeding your limit of 50% by double for each one.
To avoid unnecessary fatigue,
it becomes important to clarifywhat you want to prioritize most based on your own values.
ーーーーー
Finding your true calling
This is my main job.
Is that really your "main job"?
What I want to convey is not about your social main job, but whether it is a main jobfor you personally.
Something you deeply desire to do in your heart.
For example, is the company you go to as if you were standing on a production line really the main job you desire?
Of course, if you can consider that your main job, then that might be fine.
If you feel that the work you are currently doing is not your true calling,
perhaps your side hustle or hobby is what fits that description.
Even if you don't have one right now, there is surely an ideal main occupation for you.
For those who think, "But all of these are my main occupation..."
you just need to consider a simple question to determine it.
That question is: what is something you can commit to for the rest of your life, no matter what happens?
Something you would be willing to bet your life on,
that is what constitutes your "main occupation."
Note:
Your main occupation changes as you get older,
so it is perfectly fine to define it based on where you are right now.
However, you do need the resolve to commit to it for your entire life.
-----
Spend as much motivation as possible on your main occupation
For things you feel are not your main occupation,
do not hesitate to limit your motivation allocation to 50-60%.
(If you can lower it even further, do so and redirect that saved energy toward your main business.)
This is a necessary process to ensure your future self has no regrets.
And above all, it is a necessary means for your main business to succeed.
As I wrote at the beginning, even if you push past your limits and force your motivation up,
your results won't improve, your main business won't grow, and time will just slip away.
It becomes important for helping the seeds of your main business grow.
By being able to make this trade-off, the seeds of your main business will grow freely.🌱
There is someone on X called "President Monguchi,"
and he says that when he was a salaryman, he cut his sleep time to create as much time for his own business as he spent on his salaryman job.
Of course, even for those who aren't looking for that level of results,
it becomes important to try to make time for your "main business" in some way or to raise the priority of your motivation.
ーーーーー
In order to draw a line between your main business and your current job,
I wrote earlier that the allocation of motivation for your current job should be 50-60%,
but you only need to do your best at the minimum level.
After all, that is not the "main business" you are aiming for.
You need to reverse the positions of your current job and your ideal main business in your mind.
To pour 100% of your motivation into your ideal main job, the most effective thing is to cut back on your current main job.
I have been pushing hard for my ideal main job until now, and
the reason is that the overwhelming sense of fulfillment in my heart is different.
(It's like a tremendous sense of satisfaction, or rather, being wrapped in joy✨)
The more time you spend on the main job you truly desire, the more your heart will blossom🌸
On the contrary, if you are doing a main job that is not your ideal, your heart will wither.
Reflecting on what I have written so far, if I were to give a wake-up call to those who are holding back,
"Passion degrades."
I will send you these words.
The passion for your ideal main job will fade as time goes by.
Before you know it, your ideal main job might even disappear.
ーーーーー
I sincerely hope that the wonderful flower of your ideal main job will bloom for everyone😉
Now, on to your next world.
Thank you for reading this far.
