[Career Consultant Mom Circle] We've launched
December 11, 2023. The day known as 'Good for the Stomach (1211)' (I didn't know that).
I've created a circle for Career Consultants × Moms.
Its name is 'Jugaad'!
Today, I'd like to talk to you about this circle.
*This circle is co-hosted by my friend, comrade, and respected Career Consultant, 'Kyassan'.
Please note that this article is based on my own subjective perspective.

What is a Career Consultant × Mom Circle?
Participation Requirements
1. [Must be a qualified Career Consultant]
2. [Must be a mom with children up to elementary school age]
That's why we call it 'Career Consultant Mom'.
If you meet the participation requirements, please read on.
If you feel a spark, please get in touch.
We'll welcome you with the mindset of 'Once we meet, we're friends; if we meet every day, we're siblings' (showing my age as part of the 'Doremifa Donuts' generation).
*Participation fees, annual dues, etc., are all free.
What do you do?
Our activities consist solely of talking together on Zoom.
Whether the pace is once every few months, or once every six months...
I'd like to find a good pace with everyone.
To ensure this is a safe and secure place where we can share our feelings,
I would like to ask that you basically keep your camera on and microphone on.
But I also think it's fine if sometimes you say, 'Bedtime was a struggle, so I'm just listening this time.'
I hope you can participate at a good balance without pushing yourself.
[Participation with the intent of profit, sales, or solicitation is NOT allowed].
If you try to treat our precious members as prey, I'll punish you in the name of the moon.
With a bat to the butt (Oh, how barbaric!)
However, as we get to know each other's thoughts, strengths, and what we want to do,
I think things like offering cooperation to cheer on members' challenges and activities,
collaborations like 'I think we could do this together, want to try it?',
or requests like 'I want you to teach me this'
will naturally arise,
so I think you should feel free to do those things as you see fit, based on your own judgment.
For you, if...
You are a mom who has enough awareness of career autonomy and thoughts/knowledge about careers to have obtained the national qualification of Career Consultant.
In the midst of the daily torrent of housework and childcare,
don't you ever find yourself putting your own feelings and thoughts about your career on the back burner?
● 'Mother,' 'Wife,' 'Employee'—you're so busy meeting the demands of each role that you can't remember the last time you prioritized your time or thoughts as 'just me'.
● You have things you want to do, but you don't have any breathing room in your daily life and haven't been able to take any action.
● There are moments when I can look toward the future, thinking 'I want to be like this' or 'I want to do this,'
and there are days when I close my eyes, thinking 'I'm already doing all I can every day,' 'I can't try any harder,' or 'Who am I to do this?'
My feelings go back and forth every single day.
● I'm already overwhelmed with just what's in front of me, so am I being selfish...?
Maybe I should just give up altogether...?
No, maybe after the kids get older... maybe someday is fine...
...
Please listen, because I'm going to shout this loud enough to reach Brazil.
\Seriously, that's it!!!/
I've had that internal meeting in my head 500 million times too!!!!
What you can gain through the circle's connections
What I personally want to cherish is 'continuing to fly, even if it's at a low altitude.'
Instead of stopping and landing,
it's okay to fly really low, like 'Wait, that's basically touching the ground already!'
Just keep flying for now.
Even if you can't take any action, and even if it feels like it won't come true, don't give up.
Then, I believe that when the wind blows someday, you'll be able to ride it and lift off gently.
To keep flying even at a low altitude,
conversations with friends will surely become your motivation.
In the midst of every day watching the children grow and being excited about their future,
let's also watch our own growth and be excited about our own futures.
Eventually, I hope we can show that kind of back to our children.
I hope this becomes a place where friends who can support each other in that gather.
If this resonates with you, please get in touch.
I look forward to the day I can connect with you, the person reading this.

◆ Bonus story:
What does the circle name 'Jugaad' mean?
It's a word from around India,
and while it seems difficult to express its exact nuance in Japanese,
several words that were somehow translated into Japanese
fit us perfectly.
Maybe our co-organizer, Kyassan, will mention that someday? ♩
