[Self-Introduction] The 'Quiet Way of Life' I Finally Found in My Late 50s as an HSS-type HSP Who Struggled to Live
(*To everyone who always reads my work. I have rewritten my self-introduction. By writing on note, I have been able to recover to the point where I can think 'I want to keep living,' encouraged by the warm 'likes' and follows from those who read my work, which helps me process feelings that have nowhere else to go. I would be happy if you continue to come and read about my half-century of life.)
Nice to meet you.
Curious and eager to dive into new things, yet easily hurt by a single word from someone, and quickly exhausted to the point of needing to sleep it off...
“Running barefoot into a new world,
only to trip over a pebble and be unable to get back up.”
Are you carrying that kind of struggle in your life?
I have spent over 50 years struggling while living with this temperament called 'HSS-type HSP'.
My half-century so far has been truly like a storm.
My husband's sudden death: Experiencing a loss that felt like the foundation of my life crumbling away, and overwhelming loneliness
Changing jobs over 10 times: Repeatedly jumping into new jobs out of curiosity, only to feel like something was wrong or that I had reached my limit, and resetting
A cold remark from my mother-in-law: The day I was asked, 'Were you even alive?' while at my limit, and I sat trembling and crying in the corner of a bus
My beloved sons: The existence of my treasures who kept me tethered to this world, no matter how deep the darkness I was in
Overflowing parental love: My endless gratitude toward my children, who loved this sensitive mother just as she is
Curious yet easily hurt,
losing loved ones and burning out.
There were times when I couldn't
cry,
get angry,
or laugh
well.
I kept blaming myself, thinking, 'Is it my fault?'
But now that I am over 50,
I have finally realized:
'It is okay for me to be myself, and to live with this troublesome yet
beloved sensitivity.'
The painful past will not disappear.
But each of those wounds
has shaped the deep sensitivity I have today.
In this note, I write about the 'records of my limits and recovery' that I experienced over 50 years
as an unadorned essay.
May my survival record
become a small light
for you, who also struggles to live.
If you follow or like my posts,
my heart, having lived for half a century,
will feel gently warmed.
HSS-type HSP temperament
Type A from Type A and B parents
Pisces
I have a hard time handling myself
It even shows in my writing
But I will take that,
'flavor' it,
turn it into a wonderful personality,
and write as myself,
in that moment, on that day.
I would be happy
if you could stay with me for a long time!
There is an article I wrote about 'those days'
when I, living as an HSS-type HSP,
was always trying my best for someone else.
It costs 500 yen,
but I wrote it because I wanted those who are also trying too hard to read it.
