'Eight or nine out of ten, seven five three? What is that?'
While having lunch with a colleague, I ask back while picking at a freshly grilled saury.
'It's one of this year's buzzword awards.'
The colleague answers while separating bones from their mackerel simmered in miso.
Apparently, it became popular because the sound of the words is interesting, even though it has no meaning.
Suddenly, I voice a question that came to mind.
'Where did one, two, and six go?'
'Huh? What are you talking about? ...Ah, you're right, they aren't there, but it probably doesn't mean anything.'
The colleague says, looking somewhat lonely.
I am forgetting something important.
Colleague... what kind of work do we do?
126... 162... hirofu... hero?
Beep beep.
An alarm is ringing from the colleague's wristwatch.
'Oops, I'm being called. Well, I'm off to work.'
That's right. My colleague is a professional hero.
162... hero... there are two heroes.
Ah, that's right, I am.
'I remembered. I was a hero with you, the two of us.'
The colleague looks startled.
And then, they smile with tears in the corners of their eyes.
'You're late! ...Welcome back.'
The two of us transform into our hero forms.
