Short-Short Story: "The Calico Cat's Triple Axel" *Weekly Short-Short Note 2/22 Prompt

"Meow! Hiss!"
The calico cat repeats a strange jump.
The other cats just cast strange looks and walk past quickly, wanting nothing to do with it.
"Hiss! Meow!"
"What are you doing, meow?"
Since it was finally getting into a pose where it looked like it would fall headfirst onto the ground, a cat with a deadpan expression called out to it.
"Oh, brother. Well, the other day, Mii the white cat told me, 'I'm not interested in ordinary calico cats.'"
"...And? Have you lost your mind, meow?"
As the spotted cat looked on with pity, the calico cat let out a cry of protest.
"That's not it, meow! I was walking through the human town wondering what to do, when I saw a small human jumping while spinning around and around, meow."
"A small human... Ah, you mean the ones that live in those strange boxes?"
"So, I thought if I could do that beautiful jump too, Mii would turn to look at me, meow. Meow!"
Saying this, the calico cat repeats the strange jump again.
".........Good luck, meow."
The spotted cat turned its back as if exhausted.

"But, you being ordinary... you're a male, aren't you?"

The spotted cat's mutter did not reach the calico cat's ears.
