The Angel the Boy Beheld

The M Corporation headquarters building, boasting 50 stories above ground.
The giant tower that once ruled the world now stands silent like a ruin.
Its form, piercing the heavens, is like a "second Babel" reborn in the modern age.
Seeking infinite wisdom, challenging the heavens, and finally imitating the gods themselves, the tower is now a place where no one can set foot.

On its top floor—the "Chairman's Office" isolated as if to separate the clouds from the earth—a boy stood.
His body was like a phantom.
Every time he was illuminated by light, his outline would waver, blurring faintly like noise in one's field of vision.

Even so, a faint glow resided in his eyes.
It was the final will of an existence fading away—or perhaps, the residue of a record.

The boy pressed his face to the window and slowly pointed his finger toward the sky.

"Dad, there's a monster!"

In the sky he pointed to—within the morning glow—a huge silhouette of light was emerging.
It had the appearance of an angel.
It spread its massive wings silently, covering the entire city as if to embrace the world itself.

"It's not a monster—it's an angel."

The man's voice that replied was somehow gentle, yet carried a coldness lacking in human warmth.

The boy smiled as if relieved by that voice and reached his hand toward the window.
However, his small fingertips did not touch the glass, instead blurring faintly and transparently.
As if he had never existed in this world from the very beginning—

"Wow, so that's an angel."

In the eyes of the boy who muttered this, even though he was young, a certain "hope" resided.

"Hmm, that's right..."

The man's voice held a moment of silence.

"That angel sees everything. And it is an existence that makes the suffering and sorrow that occurred in the past 'never have happened' from the start. People repeat mistakes and are trapped by tragedy. But... what if it never happened in the first place? If there were a world where no one had to be hurt—would that really be a 'mistake'?"

That voice sounded as if it were asking a question, yet at the same time, as if it were telling itself.

The boy quietly lowered his eyes, turned toward the angel, clasped his small hands together, and took a posture of prayer.

"Angel, please—"

The boy's voice was trembling, but his eyes were directed purely at the angel. His praying figure was fragile, and his outline wavered more faintly. His very existence seemed as if it were about to vanish at any moment.

"Look, Dad—let's pray together."

The boy turned around. But no one was visible there.
Only a slight noise and the ripples of electrons were spreading into the void.

And then, the man's voice echoed low and quiet.

"...That's right. Let's pray together. The angel will redo everything—the past, and the future."

The boy smiles.
That smile, though thin and translucent, was certainly there.

“──Please, protect Mother and the others.”

As if having heard that prayer, the boy's outline begins to melt into the light.
The man gently, and cruelly, guides his fading child to the end.

“...You are a good boy, Isaac. That prayer will surely be answered.”

“...Yes, Father...”

The boy's outline eventually melts completely into the light.

──Outside the window, the angel simply remains silent, emitting light.
Giant wings spread across the dawn sky. Is that light salvation, or judgment?
Remaining silent, that figure watching over every wish and sin
seemed as if it were this world's“Final Processing Unit.”The man's words were like a prayer, and at the same time, like an irrevocable vow.

“It is almost time──surely...”

──The angel does not answer. It simply waits for the time of the seven trumpets.
Silence becomes the precursor to revelation.
The Hill of Megiddo had transcended time and space and was closing in.
