It was a clear, sunny morning.
When I opened the window, the June breeze swayed the curtains, carrying a hint of summer.
I placed my freshly brewed coffee on the desk and opened note as I always do.
It has been four weeks since I started note.
The total number of views has exceeded four thousand.
The number of likes has also surpassed five hundred.
My X impressions have also exceeded ten thousand in the past week.
Looking at the numbers alone, things are looking quite good.
So, I opened the revenue screen.
Revenue.
0 yen.
I couldn't help but laugh.
My articles have been read over four thousand times in total.
I have received over five hundred 'likes'.
On X, my posts have been seen by over tens of thousands of people in total.
Yet, the revenue is 0 yen.
It is quite impressive, really.
However, strangely enough, I am not discouraged.
In fact, I am looking forward to it a little.
The moment this 0 yen turns into XX yen for the first time.
That is something you can only experience once in your life.
When you think about it, it makes perfect sense.
The day you first rode a bicycle only happens once.
The day you received your first paycheck only happens once.
The day you first got married and the day your first child was born only happen once.
And the first moment you create something yourself, share it, and generate revenue as a result only happens once.
I am in my sixties, and I am waiting for that moment.
If I were my younger self, I might have found it strange.
Why start something like that now, I might have asked.
Retirement is in sight.
I have a pension.
I am also investing.
I am not struggling to make a living.
Even so, I wanted to try creating something with my own power.
That is why I started note.
I started using AI.
I released music on YouTube.
I aimed for monetization.
Of course, I want money.
I would be happy with about a thousand yen a month.
It would be even happier if it became 5,000 yen.
However, my way of thinking has changed a little recently.
Monetization is not just about money.
It is also proof that someone has recognized its value.
That is why I want to see that first XX yen.
It does not have to be a large sum of money.
It is not about the size of the amount either.

I want to see that moment.
Fortunately, the challenge itself is fun.
Writing articles is also fun.
Consulting with AI is also fun.
Creating music is also fun.
Receiving comments from readers is also a joy.
That is why I continue.
Even if I do not earn any revenue, it does not mean nothing remains.
The habit of writing remains.
Knowledge remains.
Experience remains.
Connections with people also remain.
In fact, I have learned quite a lot just in these past four weeks.
And I will likely continue to learn from here on out.
My revenue is still 0 yen.
But the challenge continues.
And I am looking forward to it a little bit.
To the moment when I open my revenue screen someday and see a number displayed there for the first time.
That moment, which only happens once in a lifetime.
