[SIEC Event Report Vol. 4] Looking back at 2024, the day I fell in love with SIEC even more

Lately, I've been spending my mornings crying as I drag myself out of bed, wishing that winter would end already... but do you all like winter?
Whether you're a summer person, a winter person, or neither, let's take care of our health and get through each day together! ❄️
Well, today I'd like to share with you how the SIEC 2024 Year-End Meeting & Party went at the end of last year!
What kind of year was 2024 for you all?
By the way, I joined SIEC in April 2024, so it was definitely a turbulent year for me 😌 (I'll save the details for another article someday...)
It's been a while since my last article, but this one is packed with that classic SIEC vibe! Stay tuned! 🙌🏻
01. 2024 was quite a year, wasn't it...
For this year-end meeting, we conducted a survey of all employees and interns to look back on 2024 and share our enthusiasm for 2025.
The idea was to look back on 2024 from various angles while incorporating the survey responses to help us move forward into 2025, but...
As expected of SIEC, everyone's personality really shone through.
We started with the question, "If you had to describe SIEC in 2024 in one word?"
Here are the interesting responses.
To sum it up in one word, as represented by terms like "turbulent," "rough seas," and "breakthrough," 2024 was definitely the year SIEC changed significantly!!
Personally, I feel that the internal changes, such as the increase in the number of employees and the turnover of interns, were quite significant.
Some people used easy-to-understand analogies to describe it as a year of preparation for the future, such as "hop, step, jump—this was the step!" or "a compressed spring." 🤔
It has been 6 years since SIEC was founded, but we are still in the middle of change and growth!
I'm really looking forward to what's next! 🔥
Next up is the "Mistake AWARD 2024"!
We also collected "I messed up!" stories from SIEC members in the survey.
This project is about learning from the mistakes SIEC members made in 2024 and putting those mistakes to rest.
As expected of SIEC, there were so many funny mistakes that I'd like to introduce a few of them 🫢
I got completely lost on my first day of work! (I think I was heading in the opposite direction from Hommachi Station. I don't even know how I got lost.)
It was raining and I arrived soaking wet, but I remember the employees welcoming me kindly 😭
Yes, I understand. I totally understand.
I'm super directionally challenged myself, so it reminded me of how I got lost on my first day too.
I wonder if they'll ever develop a medicine for being directionally challenged...
I ended up sleeping at the office for about 20 days...
This one is from our president.
I have huge respect for their incredible work ethic, but I really hope they take care of their health...
Fractured a rib while playing!!! I didn't think I'd lose in a collision, and I certainly didn't think it would break...
Lastly, this one—I laughed the hardest when I heard it 🤣
Let's just say it was a mistake born from the kind of explosive energy that is so typical of SIEC...
I've been feeling my body deteriorating lately too, so I need to be careful 💪
Now then, next up is "Best Practice 2024"! 🌟
In this part, we collected "That's great!" and "Well Done!!" achievements and actions of others via a survey, a project designed to help the company and ourselves grow by using them as references and celebrating them!
First, we shared all the various best practices collected from everyone.
The time spent applauding and praising each other creates feelings of "my hard work was recognized" and "I want to follow that example," which I believe will become a great driving force for us to push forward.
Once the sharing was done, the "Best of Best Practices," which we wanted to praise the most, were announced!!!
The two chosen were these people!
Manamin-san achieved the systematization of tasks and the formation of a team for those in charge, thanks to her natural sense of responsibility and overwhelming input efficiency in job posting entry, which is a key task for SIEC interns! 🤩
Also, Kengo-san achieved the fastest recruitment placement among the members who joined in 2024! ㊗️
With his characteristic careful approach, he received high praise from both the companies and the job seekers, bringing a very happy result for the company as well!
I can't thank these two enough 🙇
It was a very good project that boosted motivation for others, making them think, "I can't lose next year!"!!
Finally, it's "MVP 2024"! 🎖️
This is a project to honor the person everyone thinks "contributed the most/was the most active in 2024."
These three were chosen from the interns!

Omito-san was the intern who achieved the most in 2024, and he became the MVP in the department that evaluates efforts toward those results!
Furthermore, he is a high-spec guy who, despite living overseas, is proactive in communicating with other SIEC members! 😆
Even though Yuki lives far from the office, he has a presence that makes you feel no distance at all, and he is the cutest youngest member who never forgets to be proactive and humorous! 😍
His culture fit, which makes you feel no distance, and his proactive communication were recognized, and he shone as the MVP in the SIEC-ness department!
And, if I may be so bold, I was also chosen! 🙇
Since the person's own writing ended there, I (On, HR/PR staff) will add a supplement while posting this. ^_^
Take has achieved the team-building of scouts, which had been a long-standing issue since the launch of the SIEC intern team!
Taking over lectures, setting up team meetings, and planning content to improve the level of the entire team within that, and so on...
The fact that he proactively moved forward with new initiatives that have an impact on the company as well was recognized not only by me but also by the surrounding members, making him the MVP in this department! 🙌🏻
And from the employees, this person!
Otani-san was selected for leading other members as the father of SIEC, and for running around for the sake of SIEC, such as being heavily involved in new employee training while also securing his own results!
Personally, I thought it was cool that in his comment as an awardee, he gave encouragement by saying,“Next year, everyone do your best so that someone else is chosen instead of me!”! 🫣❤️🔥

02. The highly anticipated 2025!!!
Now, after looking back, we must look forward again.
Let's start with a quote of the message from SIEC for 2025!
December 2024. SIEC has been reborn.
Clarify the code of conduct for SIEC members.
Gather colleagues who can share our vision.
And for all stakeholders involved,
lead every "possibility" to "innovation."
To that end, we have organized and newly defined the company's ideal state, the future we should aim for, and the values we prioritize.

Now, I would like to conclude by introducing everyone's aspirations!
Break out of my shell!!! I want to do lots of new things for myself!

There is still so much I can and should do!
I will run through my 46th year so that I can lead everyone involved by example!!
Regardless of being the youngest, I'm aiming for top sales!
I will close more deals!
I want to make it happen with the scout team!

03. Viva!! Year-end party!!
Well, that's enough of the serious talk!
Finally, it's time for the year-end party 💫
Truth be told, I, Take, love alcohol and drinking parties, so I was reaaaally looking forward to this.
Many people at SIEC also love to drink, and it was a huge success, so I'll share a part of it with you🍻
This year's year-end party was held in a way where, in addition to the food provided by the company, everyone brought something to share according to the following rules within a specified budget!
Other than what the company provided, something you want to eat or drink yourself
Something you want everyone to eat or drink! Your own personal favorite
Something you are confident that no one else would bring! as your item of choice
Actually, for this year-end party, two interns who usually work remotely, and even two alumni who have already graduated from their internships, came to the office!
Including those four, the interns and employees all let their personalities explode, and it was a blast!
It was a night that really made me realize how great offline gatherings are😍
By the way, the most popular dish was the oden handmade by Otani-san!🍢
Otani-san prepared it at home from the day before and brought it in!

The drinks kept flowing, the conversation kept flowing, and the drinks kept flowing some more...
Before I knew it, everyone was having a great time (lol).
How many employees and CEOs in this world would sit on the floor to listen to an intern's concerns!!!
I am truly grateful for such a blessed environment. 🙇
To wrap up the year-end party, we all played Werewolf 🐺
It turned into a chaotic space filled with cheers and screams (lol).
I realized once again that being able to sit on the floor and play games with everyone, regardless of our positions, is the best possible environment and relationship for us interns!
