A One-Year Review of the Technics EAH-AZ100
I purchased the Technics EAH-AZ100 (hereinafter referred to as the AZ100) on its release date in January 2025 and have been using it for a year.
In this article, I will provide a review after using the AZ100 for one year.

My Usage Environment
I use the AZ100 in the following ways.
Online meetings
Phone calls
Taking online courses
Watching videos
Listening to music
I rarely use them for listening to music, but rather for online meetings and work-related calls.
Therefore, to be honest, I cannot provide a very detailed review regarding aspects like sound quality.
An All-Purpose Earphone
Although I do not use them for their primary purpose of listening to music as mentioned above, I still believe the AZ100 is a very versatile earphone.
Can connect to three devices
It can connect to two smartphones and a computer simultaneously.
Most standard earphones can connect to at most two devices, leaving little room to keep them connected to a computer, but with the AZ100, you can keep them connected without any issues.
This is extremely convenient when attending online meetings while out and about.
Connection Stability
The fate of wireless earphones is that they often experience interference and unstable connections when in crowded areas.
In fact, even with high-end earphones, there are times when you go into crowds like those in Shinjuku and experience constant interference noise, making them difficult to use.
While the AZ100 is not completely immune to interference, it doesn't happen often, and since it recovers immediately, I consider its stability to be outstanding.
It depends on whether you use them in crowded places, but if you go to crowded areas often, it's something to keep in mind.
Low latency
When participating in online meetings or listening to online courses, the amount of latency is important. This also doesn't experience enough latency to be inconvenient.
The size is just right
A good point about the AZ100 is that the case is compact, making it easy to carry around.
I carry mine by attaching a carabiner to a silicone case and looping it through my pants' belt loop, and a key feature is how easy this is to do.
There are earphone cases that are quite large, but those end up being bulky and inconvenient to carry.
No complaints about sound quality either
Since I wrote that I don't listen to much music, I can't really touch on the sound quality much, but I have no complaints regarding it.
If I'm playing music from an iPhone, I prefer the AirPods Pro for their lighter fit, but other than that, I have no particular complaints.
The fact that it supports spatial audio is also a distinctive and good feature.
I'm glad I bought them
After using the AZ100 for a year, I'm glad I purchased them.
They are an all-rounder product with no major flaws.
I expect they will be updated next year or the year after, and I think I will buy that version too.
I have used major wireless earphone brands like Sony, Sennheiser, and Beats in the past. I have been using the Technics series since the AZ80, and it is my favorite among all of them.
If you are on the fence, why not give them a try?
