2025年12月20日（土）、今日は何の日❓　答えは、#大森貝塚 の発見発掘者であるエドワード・シルベスター・モース博士の没後100年の日。モースと大森貝塚を縁に大田区の姉妹都市となっている、アメリカ合衆国マサチューセッツ州 #セーラム 市にて、1925年12月20日、87歳で没しました。

Saturday, December 20, 2025. What's the significance of today? The answer is the 100th anniversary of the passing of Dr. Edward Sylvester Morse, the discoverer and excavator of the Omori Shell Mound. Morse passed away on December 20, 1925, at the age of 87 in Salem, Massachusetts, USA—Ota City's sister city connected by the bond of Morse and the Omori Shell Mound.
Tonight, from the birthplace of Japanese archaeology, the Omori Shell Mound, we raise a toast with deep respect to Dr.Morse, the great benefactor of Omori.🍺
