From Morning McDonald's to Unlimited Anime! My Tips for Using Shareholder Perks to Make Your Weekends a Little More Luxurious
Since many people ask me about shareholder perks when seeking investment advice, here is what I recommend when asked, "What should I buy?"
4 Favorite Shareholder Perks That Provided High Satisfaction!
Here is an introduction to my favorite shareholder perks that I used recently (March-April).
■ McDonald's Company (Japan), Ltd. (2702)
A "continuous holding period of one year or more" is now a requirement.
- Record date: June, December - Minimum investment: approx. 800,000 yen (100 shares) - Perk details: One booklet of meal vouchers (for 100 shares or more)
You receive meal vouchers twice a year.
Each booklet contains 6 vouchers each for burgers, side dishes, and drinks. The appeal is that they can be used for any size of value meal and even for limited-time menu items.

The fact that you can use them separately is especially appealing. Since we sometimes just take coffee when we go out, our family often uses them just for burgers and sides during morning McDonald's trips when we leave early.
My son sometimes uses the drink vouchers.
■ CyberAgent, Inc. (4751)
- Record date: September - Minimum investment: approx. 120,000 yen (100 shares) - Perk details: ABEMA Premium free coupon (6 months for 100 shares, 1 year for 500 shares)
You receive a coupon code that allows you to use the premium plan of "ABEMA," called "ABEMA Premium," for free for a certain period.
The free period varies from six months to one year depending on the number of shares held.

Our family found this when we were thinking about subscriptions, wondering if there was something we could watch during long holidays like summer vacation.
What I like about it is that it's free for a year, so it's hassle-free.
Services like Netflix had shorter periods.
I don't like things that are a hassle, and since I'm not an indoor person, I don't actually watch much... but occasionally my son watches anime or "Kyo-Suki".
■ ASKUL Corporation (2678)
- Record date: May, November - Minimum investment: approx. 200,000 yen (100 shares) - Perk details: 500-yen discount coupon for LOHACO x 4 (for 100 shares or more)
You receive discount coupons (worth 2,000 yen or more) twice a year that can be used on the online shopping site "LOHACO."
It is very convenient for purchasing daily necessities and helps with household finances.

My husband and I combine our two sets of coupons to get free shipping... and buy daily necessities like detergent and tissues, as well as snacks.
■ Monogatari Corporation (3097)
- Record date: June, December - Minimum investment: approx. 420,000 yen (100 shares) - Perk details: 3,500 yen worth of meal vouchers (for 100 shares or more)
You receive meal vouchers (worth 3,500 yen or more) twice a year that can be used at "Yakiniku King," "Marugen Ramen," and other restaurants.
These are very popular perks that are easy to use for family dining out.

Since we use these restaurants regularly, I am grateful for the discounts provided by the vouchers.
Many of the restaurants are also easy to use for families and groups.
These were my favorite shareholder perks that I used recently.
There are many different shareholder perks, but ease of use varies from person to person, so even if something is popular, it might be useless to you... so try to find your own favorites that suit you.
I recommend starting by checking if the shops or services you use often offer shareholder perks.
*Please note that stock prices may fluctuate and shareholder perks may change.
Be sure to check carefully before investing.
