Halloween Party 2024: Sweets Edition

I've been waiting. I've been waiting so long for the day of the festival.

It's been a long time since we changed our icons. But, we were all wearing the same costumes and having a blast together, weren't we?
It's a five-day limited event, but it's been fun the whole time.

I'll join the party right away with Shichi-san's cute board!

Do you have a takoyaki maker at home?
If you bake pancake mix batter in it, it turns out like baby castella.

If you put chocolate, cheese, or various other things in there, it becomes like an Imagawayaki and it's delicious, isn't it!
Since this is a Halloween party, I tried writing a tanka like a little prank Russian roulette!

As for bread crusts, I actually have a lot of them at home right now, which is very timely!
There's a high-end sandwich specialty shop that recently opened on my commute 🥪
I could never afford to buy something like that, but guess what!
Today, I found a huge bag of bread crusts at the storefront!
I jumped at it, thinking, 'This is definitely going to be delicious! And it's only 60 yen!'
I snatched it up.

I think I'll fry them up as a snack for my daughter, who seems so busy at university every day!
So, I wrote a tanka about tomorrow's snack (*´艸`*)

The spring roll wrapper in a frying pan is a 'mock' crepe.
Please enjoy it simply with just granulated sugar and a cup of strong coffee.
Spring roll wrappers have a higher chance of being left over than gyoza wrappers. At least in our house...

Oh my, he who loves fake sweets is in trouble.
