✨️💜 [Mental Health] Are you managing your mental health properly? 💖✨️
Hello, this is Shion💜
The theme for this time is
"Are you managing your mental health?"
and I will be talking about that.
"I've been feeling a bit hazy lately..."
"I find myself getting irritated or feeling down over trivial things..."
Don't you find yourself thinking like this,
not just recently, but often?
An environment where you feel absolutely no stress
is something that is hard to find anywhere you look😢
If that's the case, try to control your own mental state
so that no matter what environment you are in,
you can try to keep your composure.
At the very least, you will be able to reduce stress
without carrying a heavy burden🥰
So, how do we go about controlling it?
I will explain it using three points💖✨
✅ Know your "Mental Weather Forecast"☀
Your mental state changes daily, just like the weather.
First, know your own mental weather forecast and grasp when your mind is sunny,
and when it becomes cloudy or rainy.
1. Record your "Mental Weather"
Try recording your mood and emotions for the day in a diary or notebook📒
Things that made you happy
Things that made you sad
Things that made you irritated
Things you were grateful for
By recording things like this, the patterns of your mind will become visible.
2. Analyze your "Mental Weather"
Look back at what you've recorded and analyze when your heart feels sunny, and when it becomes cloudy or rainy.
When you meet certain people?
When you go to certain places?
When you do certain things?
Understanding the connection between your heart's weather and your actions makes it easier to
control your state of mind.
3. Make a "Mental Weather Forecast"
Using your past records and analysis as a reference, try making a mental weather forecast for tomorrow.
I'm meeting so-and-so tomorrow, so my heart will likely be sunny
I have a meeting about such-and-such tomorrow, so I might feel a bit nervous
By making a mental weather forecast, you can mentally prepare, which makes it easier to
avoid mental storms.
In my case, I try to get through things by preparing my mindset in advance.
At work, when people like area managers
show up suddenly,
I can't prepare my mindset at all,
so I struggle with that part💦
✅Learn how to calm a "Mental Storm"⚡
No matter how careful you are, mental storms can still come.
At times like that, it is important to know how to calm a mental storm.
1. Calm your heart with "Deep Breathing"
When your heart feels restless or you feel irritated, try deep breathing.
Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds
Hold your breath for 4 seconds
Exhale slowly through your mouth for 8 seconds
By taking deep breaths, your autonomic nervous system will balance out, and your mind will calm down.
2. Calming the mind with "Meditation"
Meditation has the effect of clearing away mental noise and calming the mind.
Close your eyes in a quiet place
Focus your consciousness on your breathing
Simply observe the thoughts and emotions that arise
By continuing to meditate, you can regain mental stability.
3. Healing the mind with "things you love"
By doing things you love, your mind will be refreshed.
Listen to your favorite music
Watch your favorite movies
Go to your favorite places
When your mind is tired, do things you love to heal your mind.
If something unpleasant happens, just trying to forget it by doing things you love
will make you feel much better🥰
✅ Trust your "inner compass"🧭
If you do not trust the inner compass you possess, you will not be able to reach your destination.
1. Trust your "intuition"
Listen to the voice of your heart and trust your intuition.
Intuition is a message from your subconscious.
2. Value your "emotions"
Emotions are your heart's compass.
Let's cherish various emotions such as happiness, joy, sadness, and anger✨
3. Have a "personal core"
Don't get swayed by the opinions of others; have a personal core.
By having a personal core, your inner compass will be less likely to waver.
I used to get swayed by the opinions of others quite often.
It might be easier to just agree without having an opinion, but
you don't need to suppress yourself just to go with the flow😊
Even if not everyone accepts your opinion,
if there is even one person who understands you,
that is enough💖
✅Summary🌷
How was it?🥰
You might have thought that "management" sounds difficult
and that you might not understand it...
but that is not the case at all✨
Simply put, it means that by preparing your mind,
you can avoid or reduce major stress.
For me, the place where I tend to feel stress
is "work,
so I make sure to be in complete off-mode when I get home😂
If I bring work into a place where I should be resting,
I can't rest and I can't switch my mindset either💦
I think there are also opposite patterns.
By understanding yourself, it becomes easier to organize your thoughts,
and you will be able to stay calm in any situation💖
