siomemo1356 'Lover of Chaos: Hokusai's Waves, Basho's Delight'
This is part of a series where I try to learn about the possibilities of language by reading at least one book a month on haiku, tanka, or poetry. Yuko Onda, a haiku poet and literary critic, became someone I was interested in after I first encountered her work in Kika Hotta's 'Haiku Meets Tanka: A Guide to Reading and Enjoying' (2023). I started by reading 'Lover of Chaos: Hokusai's Waves, Basho's Delight' (2022). I wonder if my main focus should be 'The Stargazer: Japanese, a Reversal from the Bottom' (2023) instead.
