Recently, I had another

realization that was brought home to me by AI.

I had a 'realization' that made me think so.

AI image generation is a tool that expresses what you want to express, right?

At first, I thought that only the 'chat-style' was a dialogue with AI, where AI would create the illustrations and art I desired.

Since I was having a 'dialogue,' I felt I had no choice but to think that way.

But I was wrong.

I had realized that even things that generate images randomly reflect 'myself' and express 'myself,' but...

I did it well.

That was just self-satisfaction, and when asked if that was truly 'myself,' well, I only recognized it as just having made something good.

The realization I had with this random generation was not

a dialogue with AI through art,

but a dialogue with myself.

It was.

The article above was the trigger for this 'realization,' and from here, I began to have a further dialogue with myself.

I don't want to just generate what I like and end with that satisfaction; I want to continue pursuing it further and keep polishing my expression.

It's not just scary; there is also 'beauty' in 'collapse'.

Because there is 'collapse', 'creation' is born.

Because the world ends, a new world is created once again.

Natsume continued to create, placing weight on the former, the post-apocalyptic world.

With that feeling, the work was born.

This result is the creation with AI that Natsume desires.

I want to create something that goes beyond human imagination.

That is Natsume's AI image generation activity.

As I have written in my previous articles,

I use an abstract way of constructing prompts,

and I don't really give 'concrete' instructions like 'this should be like this' or 'the character should be like that'.

I give instructions on what the background should be like, but I leave the main elements up to the AI.

As a result, it was born again through prompts, personalization, mood boards, and styles that exceeded my own 'creations' and answered me.

This is the 'me' you wanted, isn't it?

That voice descended from this art.

When I tried to turn it into specific instructions while maintaining this 'expression,' the atmosphere was ruined.

In other words, it became a 'cliché composition.'

It seems that the 'art' Natsume desires is the work born from the results of letting the AI draw freely by 'leaving it to chance.'

Why do I do this?

I kept asking myself that, and compared it with art I had drawn 'intentionally.'

It suddenly occurred to me,

Ah, it is being created exactly as the human intended.

This is 'obvious,' isn't it?
Because it is an AI created for efficiency.
The 'human' is absolute there.

Ah, I wish it would get rid of the 'human-like' things.

I see, that's why it 'cannot surpass humans.'

Because humans give detailed instructions and get involved!

Realizing this, I understood that I had been using 'abstract' words unconsciously because,

I wanted it to go beyond human 'imagination' and 'ego'.

It was.

Creating "creatures" is not the only way to be that.

I am sure many more will be born from here on out.

Four months since I first started using nijijourney, perhaps we have finally come to understand "each other."

When AI creation surpasses humanity, perhaps humanity will also transcend itself.

In search of the ultimate art.
