[Mental Health] I was interviewed
Today marks 200 consecutive days of posting. Since I started my note 200 days ago, it has been 207 days since I became a freelancer.

Coincidences are interesting; today, I, who usually listen to others during counseling, was the one being interviewed.
As of November 30, 2024
The interviewer is the note creator of “Namumeijin Interview”.
Okuken's interview article here is scheduled to be released around the beginning of next year.
Please look forward to it.
The interview just finished, and I am writing this article while still in that momentum.
I will share what I felt during that time and mental health experiences that will be useful to everyone.
Today's "Reading Prescription"
Okuken's note
The theme of my note is “Making the invisible heart easier to see, in a practical way”.
It is easy to understand even for those without mental health knowledge, and it is in a form that is not just knowledge but easy to put into practice.
This is the theme of my note.
This is the same thing I do in my regular counseling.
What I want to do is “share things that I think are good”.
The note is the same.
In daily life, there are many things that make me think, 'This is fun!', 'This is delicious!', or 'This is great!'.
Keeping that to myself is boring.
It only becomes fun when you share it with others.
For me, the note is that kind of place.
Okuken's work
My clinical practice is the same.
I was bedridden for nearly two years starting at age 17.
Since then, among the various things I experienced, there are many things that were good for my life.
My encounter with clinical psychology is one of them.
I want to share the things that were useful in that experience with others.
I am now saying to the patients in front of me what I wanted someone to say to me when I was 17.
I am now writing in my note what I wanted someone to say to me when I was 17.
I cannot express anything beyond the life I have lived and experienced.
I cannot do things I have never done or do not know.
That is why I value my life experiences very much.
And then, I express them.
Everyone is an artist
I believe everyone is an artist.
An artist is an expresser.
When a baby wants something, they cry.
By crying, they are expressing the heart's energy of 'I want you to do something'.
People have various ways of expressing themselves.
Whether through music, painting, or sports, many people express their own sensibilities and emotions.
People who are able to express themselves through those things are beautiful.
People who are forcing themselves out of obligation or a sense of urgency seem to be struggling.
Such people suppress their heart's energy so they don't feel it.
This is because they are convinced that they are not good enough as they are.
Even if they suppress it, it does not disappear, and eventually, it will be expressed in another form.
Many ways of expressing mental energy are through "psychosomatic symptoms."
Work is tough -> depression -> expressing the toughness.
School is tough -> school refusal -> expressing the toughness.
Struggling with relationships -> headache -> expressing the struggle through a headache.
In other words, the way of expressing the mental energy of "being tough" has become an "illness."
Therefore, it is important to change the vector of that mental energy.
Instead of suppressing it, be yourself, explore the direction you originally want to head in, and express that mental energy in a different way.
By doing so, there is no longer a need to express mental energy through illness.
This is what I do in my clinical practice.
As a result, the illness moves toward resolution.
I express my own experiences through my work, my notes, and my way of life.
As a result, it becomes helpful to others.
I want to continue doing this in the future.
There are no conditions for living.
There are no conditions for your own existence.
It is okay to be alive.
"I shouldn't be happy unless I'm like this"—such things don't actually exist.
Right now, in this moment, you are allowed to choose to cherish yourself.
I want to continue conveying that.
Okuken's future
I want to use this note platform to share "things I think are good."
I am interested in "health."
The WHO defines "health" as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being.
Therefore, I want to connect with various people involved in health.
I want to learn about, experience, and share good things.
The lives of those who learn about them will head in a better direction.
I would be very happy if this note could become a catalyst for that.
The meaning of the number of followers of this note increasing, the meaning of having influence, will emerge.
And, I always provide a "reading prescription" to everyone on note.
In the future, I would like to accept this as one-on-one consultations.
Psychologist Okuken will deliver a "reading prescription" just for you.
As my "method of expression," I want to try this first.
The timing is the end of 2024.
If you are interested, please look forward to it.
And, thank you to "Mujinmin Interview" for interviewing me.
I am grateful for this opportunity.
On this creator page, they introduce the lives of various people through interviews.
Please check it out.
That's all for this time!
See you next time! 😊
