Traveling to Greece with my parents-02
Greece, a place I had longed for, dreamed of visiting someday, and had become obsessed with after seeing it featured so many times on 'Discovery of the World's Mysteries'.
Yet, when it came to actually going, I didn't know left from right.
The more I researched using various travel sites and blogs, the more I realized that this country, with its long history and rich nature, is so captivating that it is no exaggeration to say the entire region is a tourist destination.
Where should I go?
I'd like to visit about two islands.
I also want to visit places connected to my past lives, but where are those?
In times like these, meditation is the answer.
After going deeper into my inner self, beyond my emotions and preconceptions, and reaching the place where I could speak with the Creator, the answer I received was:
Santorini and Korin Island.
Santorini is a famous tourist destination, and I had seen its name on various sites.
But I had never heard of Korin Island.
After finishing my meditation, I searched the internet while tilting my head in confusion, but no such island existed.
However, it did exist.
A town called Corinth.
Corinth is an ancient city also known as Korinthos, and it exists today as a small town. Since I had imagined a 'place I should go' as an 'island,' I seem to have arbitrarily interpreted the 'th' (in Corinth) as 'island' (shima).
Later, when I asked through meditation if Corinth was correct for Korin Island, it seemed I was not wrong.
When I am told a word I've never heard before, search for it with skepticism, and find that the place name actually exists, I always get goosebumps knowing that my inner world is properly connected to the outer world.
As for the ancient city related to my past life, I have so little knowledge that I will research the history of the land, and then ask again in meditation why Santorini and Corinth are places I should visit.
It was related to the history of the Fountain of Peirene, which appears in Greek mythology and is located in Corinth. It was a place where the city's guardian deity, the goddess Aphrodite, was worshipped, and it was also a famous area for prostitution. That seems to be deeply connected to my history, my preconceptions, and the wounds I have carried in my heart.
I was told that Santorini was the place where I had the happiest memories during the time I lived in Greece.
No matter how deep my personal attachment to this trip may be, it is not mine alone.
I ask my parents many times about where they want to go, but although they said it was a 'country I want to visit before I die,' no specific place names came up.
My parents were told by a Greek acquaintance about a resort area with beautiful beaches that we absolutely must visit, so let's respect the locals' opinions.
In place of them, who are not good at planning or researching trips, I, a graduate of a travel vocational school, use that experience to silently plan the trip alone while adding other places I found attractive. Considering the climate, opening hours of tourist attractions, and routes, the trip will start in Santorini and end in Corinth.
A journey from a land where happy memories are etched into my DNA to a place where I hold painful memories.
I am already looking forward to the purification that will be resolved by visiting again in this lifetime.
Once the plan was decided, I asked in meditation again.
Why did you recommend that I go to Greece at this time?
'Because all the conflicts regarding Greece that were inherent in you have been released.'
It is a long and heavy story, so I will refrain from talking about it in detail here, but for me, the answer made sense. I hope to share it with you little by little through my experiences on the Greece trip.
Recently, through another meditation, I was told to 'go to Mexico City'.
I cannot go right away because I have the Greece trip coming up.
There was no answer to that reply, but I learned that the release of the Maya, which another one of my past lives is holding, has begun.
Mexico City, which I cannot go to immediately even though I am curious. I was specified Mexico City, not Mexico, but what on earth does that mean?
The day after I had forgotten about such thoughts, I was taught the place I should go through a book by Drunvalo Melchizedek that I was reading.
Guidance is not just through meditation; sometimes it is taught by adding a little ingenuity to the society in which we live.
Whether one notices this, ignores it even if they notice, or doesn't even notice it at all, is left to the individual's choice and judgment.
I hope I can go to Mexico next year. If possible, with my parents too.
By then, I hope to face my own truth of the Maya and release the painful preconceptions of mine that are embedded there.
I personally value the importance of knowing the truth of the inner world.
*This is a travelogue of a trip to Greece visited with my parents from October 10th to 27th, 2010 and 2013.
Postscript:
During this period, I was working hard to release my preconceptions in order to know my own existence. Some were gained in this lifetime, and others were ingrained in my consciousness from previous experiences. I faced nothing but muddy, painful, and dark things, but I believe it was because of that period that I gained the pure connection to zero-consciousness that I have now.
