Water Surface Photos 💛 Kanda River, Meguro River, and Yakatabune
I uploaded water surface photos taken in 2017 to Instagram.
I have compiled enough photos for one portfolio book 💛
Water surface photos of the Meguro River at night
These are water surface photos of the Meguro River reflecting the Christmas season illuminations.
Photos taken on the Kanda River at night
Blue window lights on the pitch-black water surface

A photo of window lights reflecting on the surface of the Kanda River at night. I arranged three photos to form a single screen, and they are included as a spread in my portfolio. On Instagram, I posted the right half and the left half over two days.
Two water surface photos taken in spring and winter arranged on one screen

The left half was taken in April and the right half in December, both on the Kanda River at night. They are included as a spread in my portfolio.

When passing by red or yellow Yakatabune boats, the color of the water surface changes

These are water surface photos taken while riding a Yakatabune boat. When passing by Yakatabune boats with red or yellow lights, the color of the water surface changes colorfully ✨
White splashes on the pitch-black water surface

When you are on a Yakatabune boat, you can see the water splashing. Although I shot it in color, it has a monochrome-like finish.
Water surface photos not yet released on Instagram

On Instagram, you need to build a world using a 9-screen grid of 3 columns by 3 rows.
I post spread works over two days, imagining how they will look when lined up.
Considering the arrangement of the photos before and after... this photo is in my portfolio, but I didn't post it on Instagram.
Water surface photo reflecting the lights of a building sign
This is a photo taken at the Kanda River. The lights from building signs are reflected, and the water surface is rippling and changing. It has a slightly psychedelic image.
A work composed of four photos arranged to form a single screen.
I went through a lot of trial and error to post a work consisting of four square photos arranged into one screen on Instagram.
Since it is included as a spread in my portfolio... I tried things like posting the right half and the left half on two separate days.
A photo of the Meguro River's water surface reflecting orange and blue lights.

On note, I can post the composite image with all four photos arranged together (laughs).
On Instagram, I posted the version with the four photos arranged vertically... and tried to arrange it so that it would appear above and below the blue light version.
This is a photo of the Christmas season light-up reflected in the Meguro River. It is included in my portfolio as a two-page spread, with two photos on the left and two on the right.

Moving the camera... trails of light.
This is a photo taken of the Kanda River's water surface while moving the camera.
Trails of light are captured.
Colorful water surface photos taken from a Yakatabune boat.
This was also taken when I was on a Yakatabune boat.
The contrast between the white spray and the blue light was impressive.
When passing by a Yakatabune boat with red and yellow lights on, the color of the water surface changes colorfully.

Even if the shooting locations are different... the same worldview.
The left is a photo taken at the Kanda River at night. The right is a photo taken when I was on a Yakatabune boat.
Even when arranged as a two-page spread, they share the same worldview.

The trails of light, captured while moving the camera, look like smoke.

An image like feathers or swords.
A water surface photo reflecting the lights of buildings.
A photo of the Meguro River's water surface reflecting the illuminations
During the Christmas season, the cherry blossom trees along the Meguro River are lit up.
This is a photo of the illuminations reflected on the water surface.
It feels like a somewhat fantastical image...
This is a water surface photo I took at the Kanda River at night the week before I rode the Yakatabune.
This is a water surface photo I took from between the cherry blossom trees while walking along the outer moat.
Water Surface Photo Art Magazine
I also created a magazine collecting photos of water surfaces.
When the water ripples and the reflections change, it looks like an abstract painting.
I continue to take photos of the water surface in such moments.
