A story about wanting to grab some fries but not knowing how

I was walking with a cola in my right hand and a bag in my left.
I noticed there were fries in front of me.
I wanted to grab the fries.
But in that moment,
I sometimes find myself thinking, "How am I supposed to grab them?"
and I just don't know.
If you think about it logically,
I should just put the bag down for a second.
I should just switch the cola to the other hand.
I know that's what I should do.
But,
my body feels like it has frozen.
Which hand should I move first?
Which fingers should I use and how?
Even though my brain is thinking about it,
my body's movements don't follow.
That is the state I am in.
Come to think of it, ever since I was young,
I've been bad at watching others and imitating dance moves,
or throwing and catching a ball,
and I've always been a bit clumsy.
Things that other kids could do naturally,
for some reason, took me a long time.
That happens sometimes.
You could just call it "clumsy"
or "bad at sports" and leave it at that.
But behind that,
there can be hidden difficulties in visualizing body movements in one's mind
or controlling one's own body effectively.
As a psychologist, I have
met many children who struggle with these kinds of issues.
And among them,
there are not a few children who are misunderstood as being "slow"
or "not paying enough attention."
But in reality,
the person themselves is also troubled because they don't know what to do.
That kind of situation exists too.
Is there anyone who thought, "Maybe that's my child"
or "Maybe that's me too"?
Is there anyone here who has had a similar experience?
Thank you for reading "A story about wanting to grab some fries but not knowing how."

On Saturday, July 25th, in Yao City,
I will be holding a small-group "Heart-to-Heart Discussion."
Rather than methods to change children,
I hope to make this a time where we can think together
about perspectives for understanding children.
I am accepting applications and inquiries via message.
