Why I choose to comment on articles
Hello, this is Shimamoto.
To those of you who follow me, thank you as always☆
It makes you happy when someone likes💕 your article, doesn't it?☆
Recently, I have started actively leaving comments, not just giving likes.
It took courage to leave my first comment, but since realizing the impact of commenting, I've been able to do it smoothly.
In this post, I will write about why I leave comments.
Comments are proof that something resonated with my heart
The articles I choose to comment on are the ones that truly resonated deeply with me.
Sometimes the entire article resonates, and other times it's just a specific sentence.
In those moments, my feelings are in a state that cannot be fully satisfied by just giving a 'like'.
By going as far as leaving a comment, I am somehow able to calm my heightened emotions.
Perhaps it's a process where my heart gets organized by putting my feelings into words and visualizing them through comments.
There are so many amazing articles on note
Due to my profession as a researcher (university faculty member), I often read academic papers.
And I want to say this clearly on this occasion!
I have almost never read an academic paper and felt that it 'really resonated' or moved my heart (*this is just my personal opinion).
My reaction is mostly just, 'What does this mean? Hmm, oh, I see.'
On this note platform, I can encounter so many articles and writings that deeply resonate with me, whether it's through excellent expressions in Japanese or brilliant approaches to the essence of being human!
For someone like me who loves the Japanese language, I think this is truly a wonderful thing.
Once again, thank you to note💓
It's a shame I can't 'like' note itself..
Interacting with creators through comments
When I leave a comment, I make it a point to specifically mention a sentence that resonated with me.
If that content is something the creator also holds dear, sharing those values should allow us to connect on a deeper level.
Also, by reading the replies to my comments, I feel I can get a glimpse of a personal side that wasn't apparent from the article content alone.
Comments beget comments
It certainly takes a bit of courage to be the first person to comment on an article that doesn't have any yet.
But I also think that one person's comment can lead to comments from others.
In other words, a courageous comment from someone plays a role in stimulating interaction between readers and creators.
I would be very happy if my own comments could play such a bridging role.
Afterword
Since comments remain as text (language), you can clarify the expressions and points that resonated with you even more than a 'like' can.
That, in turn, leads to self-understanding by discovering what strikes a chord in your own heart.
Why don't you try leaving a comment on an article you like?
By doing so, you should be able to enjoy this note life even more.
Finally, the shadow copywriter I respect, Shin-gan Miyamoto, also wrote an article about 'comments'.
It is content I can really empathize with. Please take a look if you'd like!
Thank you for reading until the end☆
