It might be a bit late, but what is the Amazon Point Up Campaign?
Good morning☀️
This is Shimachiko☺️
From 1/31 to 2/3,
the Amazon Smile Sale
is being held!
When you think of Amazon,
you might think of computers and electronics
being a good deal, but
surprisingly, daily necessities are also a good deal🙌

What is the Amazon Point Up Campaign?
By the way, did you know that
Amazon has a
Point Up Campaign??
(I learned about it for the first time😳)
When I hear Point Up Campaign,
I strongly associate it with things like the Shopping Marathon on Rakuten Ichiba, but
Amazon also
has a similar
system🤔
It might be a bit late, but
I looked into
Amazon's Point Up Campaign!☺️
Participation is easy in 3 STEPS!
[STEP.1] Enter the campaign
Just click
the entry button
on the special site page🙌
[STEP.2] Shop for 10,000 yen or more
The deadline for this time is as follows.
Amazon Smile Sale
January 31, 2025 (Fri) 9:00 - February 3 (Mon) 23:59
[STEP.3] Points awarded
After the sale ends,
points will be awarded
in about 40 days🙌
Up to 10% point return by clearing 3 conditions
If you clear all
of the following 3 conditions,
you can receive
up to a 10% point return.
[Condition 1] 1.5% increase for Prime members
If you are a Prime member, your points will
increase by 1.5%.
[Condition 2] 3% increase when paying with an Amazon Mastercard
Being a Prime member is
a requirement.
By paying with an
Amazon Mastercard,
1% is added to the
standard 2% reward rate,
for a total of 3%
in point rewards.
[Condition 3] 5.5% increase for purchasing eligible products
✅ Eligible products
Large appliances / Home appliances / Computers & Peripherals / TVs / DVD players / AV equipment
By purchasing the above eligible products,
your Amazon points will increase by 5.5%.
The 5.5% point increase
only applies to products in eligible categories,
so please be careful ⚠️
For all other products,
the maximum of 4.5% from conditions 1 and 2 applies.
Points to keep in mind
[Caution 1] Do not shop just for the point increase
This isn't
limited to Amazon sales,
but I always make sure
not to buy unnecessary things
just to increase points!
For those who pay for
Amazon purchases
with an Amazon Mastercard,
there is a standard 2%
point reward.
Looking at the below,
if you spend 10,000 yen,
there is only a
250 point difference
between during and after the campaign.
[If you buy 10,000 yen worth during the campaign]
4.5% point reward -> 450 points
[If you buy 10,000 yen worth after the campaign ends]
2% point reward -> 200 points
Of course,
if there is something you
really want to buy
for 10,000 yen, that is ideal.
However,
buying unnecessary items
or overstocking
for the sake of these 250 points
might actually end up
costing you more 🥲

[Point 2] The point limit is 5,000 points
Just like the Rakuten Shopping Marathon,
there is a limit to the points you can receive.
It is 5,000 points.
[Point 3] Don't miss out on buying computers and electronic devices
Eligible items like home appliances
are not things you buy many times a year,
but conversely, when it comes to replacement timing,
you shouldn't miss this opportunity, right? 🤔
In my case,
I want to replace my computer in a few years.
I want to buy a MacBook,
so the budget is around 230,000 yen.
If I can get a maximum 10% return,
I will receive the
5,000 point limit. 👀
If you use a
1% point
credit cardfor payment
the points you receive
will be 2,300 points, so
I think it will be one of the
options for buying at a good value. 🙌
