My May | Raising a 3-year-old and a newborn, marital spats, AI side hustles, and daily life

Hello.
I'm Natsu, a nurse and mother of two.
I use AI to create things that make life easier and a little more exciting.

In this note, I write freely about the things I've made, my trials and errors in daily life, and the things I love.

This time, it's a mostly daily diary.

I usually write my diary in an app called "10-Year Diary."
When I was looking back through it, I found it interesting that the current me was captured just as I am, so I summarized a bit of May.
My 3-year-old eldest son is Akkun, and my 0-year-old second son is Ikkun.
Childcare, side hustles, marital spats, nursery school, and rehabilitation.
There are no special events, but I think this is who I am right now.

5/1 Fri
Ikkun slept well.
Maybe because I went to bed a little early yesterday, I feel energetic too. It's raining.
My husband took the kids to nursery school.
We went to Nishimatsuya to buy toys and things, then had ramen on the way home.
In the afternoon, Ikkun had his vaccinations.

5/2 Sat
Today is Saturday, but my husband is working.
But I had Grandma and Grandpa watch the kids while I lounged around. That's not good.
In the evening, we all went for a walk.
The playground equipment at the park was new! I was surprised.
Also, my book was published on Kindle. So happy.
Since I've come this far, I want to make it a paper book. Exciting.

5/3 Sun
He had a rare night crying spell around 1:30. Surprised.
He's been sleeping since around 3:00, but he's rolling over and it's scary, so I started sleeping with him.
Today we went to a nearby shopping mall for lunch.
Ikkun hardly napped at all.
After we got home, I took a nap with Nagi.
I feel like things I want to do have settled down a bit.
If my income stabilizes, I think I'll feel a bit more at ease.

5/5 Tue
This morning, we left the kids with Grandma and Grandpa and went to Costco, just the two of us.
We intended to have a fun shopping trip, but we were fighting the whole time, which was painful.
Plus, someone said something mean on Threads, and I felt down...
For lunch, we had Costco sushi.
Grandma and Grandpa paid for it. Thank you.
We took photos for Ikkun's first festival and then napped.
After waking up, we went to look at bicycles for Akkun, but there aren't many good ones.
I might have to buy an electric bicycle too. This is bad.
At night, I consulted with Claude about the direction of my note. It turned out well.

I won't let myself be rushed; I'll just take it easy and do my best creating things I like.

5/7 Thu
Ikkun slept a lot again tonight.
I'm glad he's sleeping even after graduating from the crib.
Today we went to Great-Grandma's house.
It was hot. A high of 29 degrees. Crazy. It was so hot I brought out the electric fan.
Akkun has been into drawing lately.

5/8 Fri
I went with Akkun to his rehabilitation today.
In the afternoon, I went to lunch at a cafe with Grandma and then shopping at Nishimatsuya.
I bought something like a ride-on car for Akkun.
Ikkun's timing was off, and he couldn't sleep at all.
He slept in the evening, but couldn't sleep again at night and was fussy.

5/9 Sat
In the morning, everyone was exhausted. A slow morning.
Today was a home day, so we put away the tent and such.
For both lunch and dinner, we had Co-op meal kits.
Tanomotto is a little small.
For Mother's Day, Akkun gave me a letter and a marshmallow he made out of clay.
But he wouldn't listen to me, and I got frustrated. What should I do?

5/11 Mon
Ikkun, you slept well again tonight.
I went to the shopping mall while dropping off Grandma at the eye clinic.
Ikkun fell asleep, so I had Starbucks by myself for the first time in a while. Hehe.
After that, I went shopping and headed home.
Maybe because he didn't get a solid nap, Ikkun was fussy in the evening.
He fell asleep when we went for a walk, but woke up right away.
My husband was late, but Grandma helped out, and we managed.
I'm grateful for living together.

5/12 Tue
Ikkun, you slept well again tonight.
I went to a support center for the first time with my friend's child.
We just ended up rolling around, lol.
It was fun to chat and have lunch with a friend for the first time in a while.

My husband came home early at night, but we fought in the bath.
Over something stupid. Why do we fight every single time?
It's strange that we both get into a mood like "I'm never talking to you again" every time, but regardless of the trigger, I get even more frustrated by the attitude and words used during the fight.

5/13 Wed
Still frustrated with my husband.
Today was a home day.
I took a two-hour nap side-by-side with Ikkun. It felt great.
I hadn't been paying attention because I was napping quite a bit, but it seems he didn't sleep at all in the evening, and he fell asleep after his bath without nursing. I'm rushing to feed him now.
Akkun is into free tablet games lately.

5/14 Thu
This morning, I went to a classical concert at the nursery school with Ikkun.
He was a good boy and listened without making any noise.
It was fun.
Akkun was also in a good mood and dancing, but he listened well too.
In the evening, he was able to nap a lot, which is rare.
My husband came home early, and we managed to get through it without fighting.

5/15 Fri
Today, while I went out to eat with friends, Ikkun stayed home with Grandma.
He waited like a good boy and was able to nap.
When do they start getting stranger anxiety? This is the first time I've left him to go out and play.
After his bath, he fell asleep again, so the timing for nursing was off, and he cried a lot at night again today. I'm sorry.

5/16 Sat
I weighed Ikkun for the first time in a while, but he hadn't gained much.
In the morning, Akkun went to the pool, and Ikkun went outside too.
His pool debut hasn't happened yet.
Nursing timing is difficult. We had McDonald's for lunch.
In the evening, he couldn't sleep and was fussy.
I'm glad he slept a little before his bath.
We ended the day without fighting.

5/17 Sun
Ikkun, you slept well again tonight.
In the morning, everyone was lounging in bed, and Ikkun fell asleep too, lol.
He was sleeping, but I woke him up to nurse, lol.
We went out in the morning. In the afternoon, we went to the pool.
It was Ikkun's first pool experience in his life, but he didn't cry and wasn't excited either, which made me laugh.

5/19 Tue
This morning, while Mom and Akkun went to the hospital, Ikkun stayed home with Grandma.
After they got back, we all went out together.
He was sleeping on the way, but woke up when we went for a walk outside, lol.

5/22 Fri
Today was a home day. Somehow, Ikkun slept a lot.
In the evening, I went for a short walk with Mom.
He's started moving around a lot lately.
I've been doing too many side hustles lately, so I thought I'd cut back on the time, but I keep touching them...
It's an illness. For now, I've stopped creating various things and organized my chats.

5/26 Tue
My husband is off work today.
From the morning, I made a bento for the field trip with Akkun.
We lounged around the house in the morning, and for lunch, I had yakiniku with my husband and Ikkun.
Thank you for coming along.
In the evening, we went for a walk to the nursery school to pick up Akkun.
I'm glad he seemed to enjoy the field trip.
The breeze felt nice at first, but it got hot later.
He couldn't sleep for a long time, but he slept a lot in little bits.

May 28, Thursday
Today I went to nursery school for Akkun's parent participation day.
Ikkun also did his best outside for about an hour and a half.
For lunch, we went to Hama Sushi with Grandma.
We used to go to Hama Sushi every week because Akkun loved it, but he hasn't really wanted to go lately, so I think this was our first time since Ikkun was born?
He couldn't nap for very long.
He's been moving around a lot lately. He's so energetic.

May 29, Friday
Ikkun had a hard time falling asleep today and was fussy.
For lunch, we went to Great-Grandma's house, then went shopping and headed to his vaccination.
I didn't realize the BCG vaccine took so long. After it was finished, we went straight to pick up Akkun.
It was all so hectic. Good job today.

With the typhoon coming, I was surprised when Grandpa came home instead of staying overnight for his company trip.
My husband seems busy with work.
Can you believe it's been four years since our wedding? Thank you for everything, as always.

I might try posting again in June if I feel like it.
